Happy Sunday everyone!

How is everyone's weekend going so far? Any cookouts? yardwork? weekend trips?

I did the yardsale thing yesterday for a little bit. The subdivision yesterday had a community yard sale. I got 2 side tables I'm going to refinish, an upholstered ottoman/footstool I'm going to recover and a brand new bird cage (with 14 birds you never know when you might need a spare cage) for $20

It was fun! Once I got home I just collapsed in the bed and took a 4 hour nap. Boy was that good and boy did I need it!

So Matt's on his way back to Raleigh now and I have another day to myself. Hmm.. what to do, what to do!

I had to give my vote to Christopher Lowell.
Though I don't get to see his program much any more, he has inspired some serious decorating in this house in the past!
(no more white walls!!!!!!!!!!) And there is one guideline of his I always use when shopping, especially at swap meets and yard sales.....look for things that make other things TALLER!

My weekend was pretty good; except the migraine I fought off and on Friday and Saturday. But I got some scrapbooking goals accomplished, some weeding in the yard, a picnic with friends. My DH came back from a quick trip from Reno with a profit of ...............$900!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO! Guess who's doing some shoppin this week! And tucking $100 away for my girlfriend's trip to the world....

Oh and I voted for Ruth CHRIS steakhouse...........yummmmmyyyy

I used to watch Christopher Lowell and he definitely inspired me NOT to be afraid of color; this was way before my love of Trading Spaces, so I feel ahead of the game with the house decorating shows thanks to Christopher.
