Good morning!

Another week starting. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I can't wait until this weekend. Thanks to the 4th falling on a Sunday, I get to have a nice long weekend.

Okay, today's poll is kind of a nostalgic one. I'm sure that you can still find this in stores but it's not as popular as it was when I was a kid. The bins of Brachs candy. It was such a big deal as a kid to fill up the bag with the pieces - you gotta make sure you count them!

What was/is your favorite piece of Brachs candy?

I loved the root beer barrels. It was a hard choice as I loved many on the list.

I get a 3 day weekend myself. I'll need it to rest up from Sunday.

I love butterscotch. I can't find it though. All I can find around here is either generic butterscotch or butter rum.

Those caramel/sugar candies. My grandfather used to keep those and Maryjane's in a candy dish for us.

I voted Starlight Peppermint, but a close second is the coconut candies that are supposed to be vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

Butterscotch for me too. I wonder why they are so hard to find now? Last month I stopped at a grocery store somewhere in SC (too bad I can't remember what city, all I remember is it is between Mt. Pleasant, SC and Atlanta) and found some. I bought 4 bags - one for me and 3 for a lady at work who LOVES it.

I love butterscotch disks. Second comes spearmint leaves, Those come with memories of my godmother's Dad and visits to the Yellow House in Georgetown where he lived.
