Ack - TGIF everyone!

I ack because as we speak (read? type?) I have a Navigator containing 2 adults, 5 kids and 3 dogs heading south from PA for my house

Yes, my oldest older brother is heading down to see me and my mom. *sigh* I used to not get along at all with him. He's 15 yrs older than me and acted like he was my father. He also used to act so superior to the rest of us because he's extremely successful. I don't begrudge him that - he definately worked for it and rose through the ranks of his company against some pretty big ghosts in his past until he was able to buy out a division of the company. He is a success. Just was a pain in the patooty

He divorced his wife, and has someone new in his life that has caused him to do a 180. He is the only one in my family that actually is worried about me and my illness and not themselves. I finally have a brother - only took me 37 yrs

Anyway - on to today's poll - on the topic of siblings..

I have 2 older brothers and a 1/2 brother I barely know.

I have a brother two years older and then 2 1/2 brothers that are 16 and 17 years younger. I am more like an aunt to my little brothers.

I voted that I have more than 8 brothers and sisters but I actually have 8. You don't have an option for that. I have 7 brothers and 1 sister, and from oldest to youngest there is only 12 years difference. Also, there are 3 sets of twins. We were like a carnival freak show growing up until new people down the street moved in - they also had 3 sets of twins but 13 kids in total.

You had 3 sets of twins in your family? That's awesome!! A friend of mine was married years ago and had a single, then twins. When she remarried she had a single, then twins. So she has 24 year old twins and 8 year old twins.

Yup, 3 separate sets of identical twin boys. Thankfully it skipped a generation -- I know for a fact having twin infants would have put me in the nuthouse -- I remember very clearly when my youngest twin brothers were babies. My mother was a very patient person. I did not inherit that trait.

Seriously, I would give my eye teeth for twins.

A lot of people feel that way -- a friend of mine just gave birth to twins - a boy and a girl. I think twins are really neat, of course, having grown up with them. There is a special bond between the two like no other.

I have one sister 18 months older than me and one brother 18 months younger than me. Yup, in 3 years my mom had 3 kids. I couldn't even imagine lol.

I have 2 half brohters and 2 half sisters. I did not grow up with any of them.. I grew up an only child, but now I have a very close and wonderful relationship with my sister from my dads side.

I am an only child and an only grandchild. We didn't tend to breed well and I've decided not to breed at all. I also don't have any first cousins even though I had two uncles (neither one of them had children). None of my second or third cousins live anywhere near me so I was brought up completely alone. Oh well, then you get over it and go to Disney.

I'm an only. When I was growing up I was fine with it...my best friend was an only and my other best friend never got along with her sister so the three of us were always together. As I got married and then had DS and saw my three girl cousins (all sisters) doing the same and having each other to experience those things with, it made me want a sister or brother. I'm still very close with my two girlfriends (one is DS's godmother and the other is his "aunt"), but I still wish I had sibling to share these things with.
