MeanLaureen's Useless Poll of the Day - Friday

Do you make your bed everyday?

  • Yes, everyday like clockwork - I don't feel right if I leave it unmade!

  • No- never. Why bother, I'm just going to mess it up again later!

  • I don't but my spouse/significant other does every day!

  • I only do it on occasion.. like when I have company coming

  • Bed? Sleep? Who has time for that? The DIS has too many boards for me to post on to do this thing

Hi everyone!

Wow, what a week. I am BEAT! I ended up voicemailing my boss last night that I was just trashed between working and running back and forth between the hospital and the rehab center and errands for my mom and they were just going to have to do without me today.

I also didn't tell my brother because I know he would want me to spend the day at the rehab center and truthfully - I need time in bed to sleep. I was falling asleep standing up yesterday!

Anyway - I dragged myself out of bed to get today's poll up :) :)

Here is your question - bed themed and an easy one...

"Do you make your bed everyday?"

I didn't vote because none of the choices fit me.

I do it on occasion, but not for any real purpose. If I have time to, I do, if not I don't.

I can't stand leaving the house in a non-orderly fashion. I always pick up toys and other items everyday. Sometimes I feel like I do this all day with 2 kids, 4 birds and a dog. I want to have things somewhat in order so if I have those unexpected guests.... I won't feel funny letting them in the house! I probably cleaning too much, I guess vacuuming everyday is a little extreme! oh well!

DH does the bed.
As much of a neat freak as I am, thats somethign that I could let slide since I dont really see the bed during the day. Well, DH was in the army and because of that he cant live with the unmade bed, even though he is at work for 11 hours a day. Works for me! :teeth:

 Take care of yourself, Lauri.

I make my bed when I get home in the afternoon. If I try to make it up before I leave, I might just "accidentally" fall down underneath my covers and go back to sleep.;) I'm not a morning person.:o

Only if someone will see the room...like the exterminator! LOL! ;) But here in my new home, I should turn over a new leaf. ;)

LOL! That's pretty funny, Shannon. My sister was recently telling me about one of her mornings. Up, heads to the shower. Got out, laid down on bed. Did her hair, laid down on the bed. Put her make up on, laid down on the bed. LOL! Some mornings are just too tough!

when I am still in bed......I pull my covers up really nice and tight.and sort of pull up hubbies side too....then I get out of bed.....and smooth that side down.......so when I go to the other side of the bed that is closest to the door......the bed is practically already done.....it is a water bed and really easy to make

That always used to be one of my chores when I was younger, my mom would always yell at me if I didn't. Now I never do! It's pointless, because I'm always pulling down the sheets all the time anyway to lay down, watch TV, or do homework.

Nope, I don't make the bed (unless company comes). I'm a slob and a slug ... if the bed is left unmade, it's that much easier to slide into after work!

My DW kind of makes it everyday. She folds back the sheeets and the quilt but does no tucking in.

I do 99.9% of the time.........there are some occasions when I miss it, but usually I do it.

I don't make it up everyday----NC Beast works the Midnight shift and sleep in the daytime...that my story and sticking to it.:D
