meals with just the princesses???

I thought I had read somewhere that you could have tea with the disney princessess, am I going mad? My oldest daughter is a huge fan of them all so this would be great, if there isn't such a thing is there good opportunities to see the princesses around the park.

You can have a dinner at Auberge de Cendillon in Fantasyland. It is a character meal with the princesses.

I have not done it personally myself but a few on here have done. You can check the Dinner menu at www.dlpfoodguide.com - some have said it is quite pricey and it is a set menu

Yes you can have a meal were the Princess move around the room from table to table ( in theory)

I went with my 7yr old daughter who is Princess mad, on the 19th Feb to Auberge de Cendillon. It was in my opinion pricey, but I knew what I was getting and I knew my daughter would love the experience.

It is a set menu that costs 20euro for a child and 55euro for each adult. The food is French cuisine, On the Sticky Threads there are quite a few reviews on this restaurant.

My only critiscism of the place would be that, if you are seated at the back of the restaurant, away from the dancefloor, you could be there for quite some time waiting for the Princesses to come over. This is not a fault on their part. as they try to move around the room, people go up to them asking for photos and autographs, and they oblige. So, if like us, you follow the rules and stay seated, you could be there for 2 hours!!

It is a must for any Princess fan though. We did get their autographs & some lovely photos.

My daughter loved this. It is expensive, but it is probably the best food in the park, and a cocktail and a few glasses of wine are included making it better value. We saw 3 princesses - Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella. They all took the time to talk to my children, and made a fuss of my daughter who was wearing an Aurora dress. Service was very good. My main criticism was that the children's menu, apart from the wonderful Cinderella's slipper dessert, was not the kind of food most small children want to eat. They were doing a survey on this as we came out though so maybe it is going to change.
#ETA forgot to add that my son was given a knight's helmet and my daughter a sparkly magic wand which they thought was great.

Hello, my first post. Planning a trip to DLP in July. My littlest will be 2 and a bit - if I took her and oldest (5) to lunch with the Princesses would she be charged the 20euro? think I read somewhere that under 3's were not charged in some restaurants? Thanks for any assistance.

Under 3s are not charged at buffet restaurants, but they are at table service restaurants. At buffets you just pay for their drink (I think).

Cannot agree more... The food is absolutely yummy! I'm not a great eater but my DH is and he said he just loved the food in the restaurant. We went there for lunch the first time we were in DLRP and it was buffet menu. Last July we had dinner there and my DD1 was beside herself when Ariel and Eric greeted us. They really took their time when they came to our table, talked to us and we just enjoyed ourselves...

That's exactly what we thought but actually the menu has changed to the one you can see on that restaurant thread. Wish I'd taken a picture of it, but as far as I remember the main adult choices included rack of lamb (which I had and which was a very generous portion), a risotto with huge juicy-looking scallops and a fish dish which may have been sea bream. Think there was another choice too as well as the veggie choice which was pasta I think.
The veal choice was no longer there.

Maybe you can have lunch there on your last day?! It'll be a great end to your visit... Just a thought...

I would be fine with the fishy choices, but my DBF would probably be a bit too picky (He'd be fine with the Lamb... but side dishes are the awkward bit!)... The starters aren't something we'd eat either....

Yep thats correct, under 3's go free in buffet resturants and the only thing you pay for is there drinks.

We've been twice and loved it

My DD was 4 on her first visit and 5 on the second.

It is pricey and the food is quite rich but I think the experience is what you are paying for and they look on my DD's face meeting all the Princesses was priceless each time.

We've twice been seated to the left as you enter the restaurant but I would recommend asking to be seated nearer the dancefloor (on the right) as Mummybear says the princesss do get toyou but you do have to be a bit more patient.

AP' holders and shareholders get discount here if that helps any . It meant that for us (two adults , one child) that the child's meal was free.

Children also get a little pressie - we got a cinderella mirror on our first visit and a wand on our second.

The adult's choices last time we were there was lamb, scallops , cheese tortellini or veal.

My DD found the pasta too rich but filled up on the bread rolls

PS Adults no longer get Cinderella's slipper as a dessert just lots of rich chocolaty things . I was a bit disappointed but DD was a little hero and shared hers

We ate here last Easter and really enjoyed it. The mneu has changed slightly since we went but although it is expensive we felt it was worth it.

The food is proper French food as opposed to theme park food and DD loved the childrens chicken choice and the desert - it was the starter she didnt like but I suppose its a typical French starter

Yes the tortellini is certainly veggie, can't remember if there was anything else.

Help! Being new to all this, do you need to book this before you go or when you get there? Is it the same for all the character meals?

The only time we have ever booked anything before we went was at Christmas when we knew it would be super busy.

If theres a particular place you want to go on a particular day you might be best booking beforehand otherwise you are usually Ok when you get there
