We returned last week and this is where we ate.

Margaritaville

This is the kids favorite place to eat, or I should say most fun place to eat. It's been a thrill from day one to eat here and wait for the volcano to erupt. You would think they would grow tired of this but nope, not even a little! Last time we ate there we noticed some of the very expensive fishing poles were missing. We asked about it and was told they were stolen! I cant even imagine how anyone could walk out of there with one unnoticed. Sad really but glad that they have been replaced!

I really like the area they made across from Margaritaville, The outdoor Lone Palm airport. Its a great place to grab a drink and snack and people watch! Love those chairs too.

Anyway back to our lunch at Margaritaville. When we walked up it was around 12:30P and crowded so we showed our room key and they gave us a light up thingy and as we walked to shop in the store it went off. We were seated and had a great server that was really attentive to the kids. We were in one of the booths, I like booths seems more cozy. I was tempted to get a cheeseburger in paradise since its been a while but instead I opted for one of their salad entress. They had a new one listed called Chicken mango salad so I tried that. I told my husband he wanted the cheeseburger in paradise and the kids grilled cheese, chicken fingers and spaghetti and meatballs. I was in the mood for a beer and they have an OK beer list. I ordered an Amberbock since they didnt have Guiness or Bass on tap. The kids had milkshakes and husband had a soda.

My salad was so uneventful. It just lacked anything specific, kinda bland. I liked the ingredients just needed a snappier dressing. I remember why its been a while since we had the cheeseburger in paradise too. One thing you CAN get on Universal property is an amazing burger, just not here. It was totally Eh. Wasnt even a decent size like I thought I remembered. Still it was OK. The kids ate all their food and no complaints and did love the milkshakes. Service was very good and total for 5 of us was $ 48 after the AP discount. Best part of the meal? When you here "I don't know, I don't know,
I don't know where I'm a-gonna go When the volcano blows."

NBA City

We missed this one last time around so we had to eat there this time. We went for dinner and again it was crowded lots of loud cheering so I imagine there was a game taking place live. I'm a real basketball enthusiast! Not really. So it was crowded and showed the room key and we were seated right away. A little uncomfortable since there were people standing there waiting. :confused3

In case you didnt know NBA City now takes reservations online. http://www.nba.com/nbacity/reservations/
I didnt know either but usually just wing it anyway.

We were seated upstairs at a table and the waiter took a drink order, iced teas all the way around. Very exciting I know. We looked over the menu and I remembered someone HERE talks about the blue cheese chicken pasta. If it has blue cheese its for me! The kids all had the chicken fingers and fries and my husband had the stuffed cajun bonless chicken with mashed potatoes. I loved my meal! If I could I would be eating right now! The stuffed chicken was good too and the kids meals were "great" as they said. Service was good, food was better than average and atmosphere loud and fun. Total for 5 of us $72 with AP discount.

Hard Rock Cafe

This was by far the best CityWalk meal this trip! We went for a late lunch and it was packed when we showed up. The room key was not going to do much and I believe it was over an hour wait. I remembered I had an All Access card and showed it and we were literally taken and seated right then and there. Pretty amazing little card! On top of that we were asked (I didnt have to but was going to) if we ever took the tour. Another terrific thing I learned from these boards! I said no but that we would like to take one. The hostess said she would send Tony over in a little bit. We ordered drinks and sodas for the kids and looked over the menu. I just LOVE the atmosphere at this HRC.

We were seated right at the back door where the secret (or not so secret) park exit is located. I had to walk outside to take a call and they were blasting music to the outdoors! We ordered the Joe Perry Rock Your World Quesadilla for the table. I had the Stormy Blue Burger (burger with crumbled blue cheese on toasted bun with creamy horseradish sauce) my husband had Bar-B-Que Ribs and the kids had pizza, chicken and grilled cheese. The burger? Thats what I'm talking about!! Amazing and so were the ribs, so tender and tastey. Kids loved their meals too. Juat as we were finishing up Tont walked over, what a cool guy! He said to have the server call him when we were ready for the tour. We ordered coffee and dessert first!

At HRC you HAVE to order the chocolate cake its a must! We usually share a piece or two since its huge. Yummy as usual and we called Tony over to take the tour. It lasted a little more than an hour. Bo Bice happened to have a concert there Monday night and I was hoping to get a glimpse of him,;) What a fun and informative tour! Really cool trivia. John Lennon was the most interesting to me. I dont want to ruin it for others but please do this if you have the time. My husband tipped him at the end he was a great guy if you can request him. So meal and dessert and appetizer for 5- $ 74 with the discount. I shopped in the store afterwards too and got some cool tee shirts that were on sale.

Confiscos

The day we were leaving we had lunch at Confiscos. We always eat at Mythos and my husband requested Confiscos. If I knew he was gonna do that I would have squeezed Mythos in earlier in the vacation. Oh well. Next time. It was around 2P on Memorial Day and it was still crowded. We waited about 10 minutes and were seated. We ordered a Confisco's Fries for the table. I read HERE again about Confisco's Chicken Caesar Salad and gave that a try. My husband had An Adventure in Fajitas. The kids all had Raptor Chicken Strips.

The place was looking a little weary to me could be that I was just a little weary! It was also after a busy morning and lunch too, that could do it. Our server was very pleasant and kept the drinks refilled w/o asking. The fries with dipping sauce were yummy! Again if its blue cheese its me. There were 3 different sauces. My salad was excellent it had Grilled Chicken Breast, Romaine Lettuce, deep fried Pepperoncini Peppers, Calamata Olives tossed with Caesar dressing and toasted grilled flat bread. It was so tastey and large, good thing cause my son kept eating it with me. The Fajitas, beef and chicken we great too and plentiful. Kids loved their chicken.

So another great meal in just an OK atmosphere. One think I noticed and took pics of was the entrance waiting area. Next time you are there, look up! :teeth: Total for this meal with AP discount $54

Beverly Hills Boulangerie

We had breakfast here a few mornings. I was VERY sad that they no longer had the cinnamon bun. I asked that they bring it back....please! Oh well. each morning we had a similar order but I will list the items we tried during the whole trip. Chocolate Chip Cookie, very good. Chocolate Croissant, very good! Black and White Cookie, awesome. I know by now your saying what a breakfast for champions, yep. I had the strawberry almond torte, OMG delicious. Fruit platter, very good and ripe fresh fruit. Egg croissant, ham, cheese sandwiches - perfect for breakfast and tastey. Flavored coffees and teas, chocolate milks and OJ's. Now keep in mind that aside from these items they have a cheesecake facory mini menu too. I was told numerous times as I gazed at the lucious cakes to "just keep walking"! I did finally get to have a piece one morning, lemon coconut it was heavenly.

So yes, we love this place for breakfast and if its not too hot yet we like to eat outside so we can feed the birds. This has also become a ritual. Lets see how big a piece of croissant that bird can grab and get away with. But dont worry if you eat inside they will come in there too :rotfl: Breakfast was usually around $25 with our discount. Last time we ate and watched Lucy and Ricky right across the street dancing and singing, that was great!

I have pictures from some of these meals that I am trying to shrink and will post soon!
