Hi. I was wondering if anyone has ever bought a meal at the airport specifically for bringing on the plane with these new restrictions?
Boston's Logan airport has something advertised on their website called Meals to Fly
Meals To Fly
Whether you are packing a briefcase or a bathing suit for your trip, there's one thing you'll want to bring onboard --- a tasty in-flight snack or meal from one of Logan's many restaurants!
From Legal's famous New England clam chowder, to an Old English Cheddar Houli-Burger, to a meal inspired by Boston's best chefs, the restaurants and cafes at Boston Logan International Airport can satisfy any craving. Logan's "Meals to Fly" are delectable meals and snacks, freshly prepared and packaged to take with you on your flight. Selections are offered at a wide range of prices - including children's meals. So, when you want to curb your hunger and catch your flight, grab a quick "Meal to Fly" at Logan. It may be the easiest part of packing for your trip!
As an added bonus, Logan Airport's Street Pricing Policy requires all airport food and retail merchants offer goods and service at prices similar to prices found at comparable locations in the Boston and Cambridge area, so grabbing a "Meal to Fly" is not only quick and convenient, but affordable too!
Go ahead: take a Big Mac to the Big Easy, a Fenway Frank to Frankfurt or cross the Atlantic with a Grilled Chicken Caesar. Rest assured, wherever you sit on your flight, your meal will be first class.
So I was wondering, do you buy them before security and they deliver them to the gate? Or are they only available beyond security?
Anyone with experience I would love to hear your reviews!
