3 studios BCV, 12 people ages 3 to 57, Thanksgiving week.

Need your help, suggestions for meals.

I am not familiar with these locations and what is offered.
BCV or BWV's, can you give some suggestions for places that are reasonably priced with offerings from coffee and bagles to full meals. With the studios we will be eating out but don't want to break the bank. We usually enjoy a good breakfast, light lunch and full dinner.
All suggestions appreciated.

PS. just purchased, reserved room for 2, when family heard we were going, well we added 2 more rooms, 10 people and 2 years points. I may need to buy (rent) points to see what I'll be missing, not sure I can wait until my use year comes back around 2004.
Thanks for your responses and suggestions.

Be sure to take a close look at the "Special Member Privileges" sheet that you will receive at check in. There are several dining discounts listed. For example, as a DVC member you can receive a 20% discount on food at the restaurants in the Swan & Dolphin Hotels (except for Shulas). You can get a good idea of what will be offered by checking the DVC Members 'Website. (Of course, the offers may change by November, but so far they seem to be fairly consistent over the course of a calendar year).

If you or any member of your party have an AP/PAP, you can get 10% off lunch at the table service restaurants in EPCOT and those at the Disney resorts. Disney Club members also enjoy selected dining discounts. You may have to check all three to determine which is the best.

I would suggest that you consider making lunch your main meal of the day. Prices are generally less, discounts more available, and it makes a nice break/rest from all of the other activities.

Enjoy your trip!

Even though you're staying in a studio, you could still do light breakfasts in the room. You'll have a coffee maker, small refridgerator for milk and juice, a toaster and a microwave. We usually have cereal and toast for breakfast. You could always make bacon in the microwave. There is also a bakery on the Boardwalk with wonderfull donuts, sweet rolls, etc.

In my experience, breakfast is the most expensive meal for a light eater. The amount you'll pay for cereal and toast, or a bagel is outrageous. This is probably where we save the most money is by eating breakfast in the room.

Have you thought about getting PS for a character breakfast? We usually do this once during our stay. We make it for a bit later, 9 - 9:30 and pig out. Then have a lighter lunch or snack.

Whatever you decide, have a wonderful trip!

Beaches and Cream at the Y & BC has counter service/carryout for breakfast with a nice assortment of bakery breads, cereal, fruit and a few hot items., great burgers for lunch. Boardwalk Bakery has great baked goods and sandwiches to carryout. Hurricane Hannas at SAB pool has nice lunch variety of salads and sandwiches. Big River Grill and ESPN are good for lunch or a drink as well. We really enjoy eating in Epcot at night or even for lunch. Besides the sit downs, most of the countries have carryout or outdoor cafe type food. It is really fun to go to Teppanyaki with a group as there are large tables centered around the cooking grill. There are kids menus at all the restaurants. Prime time cafe at MGM is alot of fun for all ages as well. With a group of 12, you can make reservations with WDW group dining. Over the holidays it is a good idea to arrange that ahead of time, especially with that many people.

Thank you all for the suggestions and ideas on in room meals and places to suggest to the group. We have been to WDW a few times ( Poly- 2, Port Orleans- 1, All Stars-1) but not at all familiar with BCV or BWV's. Its good to have some idea what is available in that area for the early birds who will be up and walking / enjoying the MAGIC.
Thanks again and other suggestions and reports will be welcome, need reasonable with variety.

I have just one suggestion. On Thanksgiving day go to the ESPN Club - Pats vs Lions 12:30 then Cowboys vs Redskins 4:00.
