I read the sticky thread but it doesnt seem to have been updated since 2003 nor does it have any new posts so I figured I'd try asking a question here.

Has anybody bought any vouchers lately? If so how much are they going for?
I am not doing the dining plan as I received an email code and got CBR for $88 a night and rec. a dis email for tickets and got my 14 day all inclusive tickets for $287 so no way I was passing up those deals. It wouldnt have paid to pay full price for the room and full price for tickets. So I wanted to look into maybe buying just a few vouchers but I cant seem to get much info on them. The sticky said something about hotwire savings.com but when I go on there it asks for my member id. I cant find an actual website that lets me join. And hotwire.com looks like its just for airline/hotel. If anybody has any info on recent voucher transactions I'd appreciate it. And I dont want to buy from ebay because they are all too way overpriced.
thanks for you time

As far as I have seen, WDW is no longer accepting the meal vouchers due to their new dining plan. Anyone else have a definite confirmation on that? We used them in September and LOVED them. I was bummed to hear they weren't going to be accepted anymore.

It's not that they aren't accepted anymore- you can still get them but they aren't a good deal anymore.
You can still order them thru wdwspecials.com if your company has a corporate connection with them and they add tax onto the price and charge $1.50 -$8 to ship them. The ones they have for sale now expire 12/31/05.

SO for 2 vouchers it would be $33.34. That seems like a lot for 2 meals at a counter service resturant.

They also sell them at their other website for non-corporate buyers. They charge even more for them there (like over $18 each).

I liked them because it was one more way to have the vacation pd for ahead of time. BUt since the Disney dining plan has been updated and the MYW pakages are different, they really cut back on the release of the vouchers and the price must be higher for the brokers.

Yes, what gary4jenn said is exactly right.

That must be what I was thinking then because that's where I got them from. So you can only get them if your company is a corporate sponsor? Man! $33 for 2 Q & C vouchers is nuts. Do they even have the VKL ones anymore? We loved having these last trip and they really were pretty comparable to the new dining plan when purchased through hotwire savings club.
