Has anyone that has been to WDW used any of the meal vouchers recently? I've heard that they are doing away with these, but some are still floating around out there and they don't expire until May of 2005! I just won a bid on e-bay for "2 Quick and Casual Meal Vouchers for Lunch or Dinner". The seller had a positive feedback score of 98.3 and has been a member since Dec. of 2000. I'm fairly confident that I will have the vouchers shipped to me, but I was wondering what my experience would be with the vouchers once we arrive in WDW. Has anyone used any of these meal vouchers lately? Just wondering if I made a bad purchase!! :confused3

Thanks for your help!!

As long as you use them before may you should not have any problem. I think Disney is just not issuing any more. I am sure they will honor the vouchers you already have.

Those were listed as but it now. I have seen groups of 10 going for 200.00 or more. It is amazing what people pay for them. I fortunate enough to buy some from a fellow DIS member who had some left over after her recent trip. She was so wonderful. She let me pay what she paid for them plus postage. :cloud9:

We used all 3 types of vouchers in January and had no problems whatsoever.
In fact I wish I had purchased more. They really did save us a ton of money. My opinion, buy as many as you can-they are truely worth it. Patty

We used vouchers I had bought off of Ebay on our last trip in November. We had no trouble whatsoever with them and they really did save us alot of money. We are planning on using the ones we have left over on our upcoming trip in May. I dont anticipate any problems using them. Have a great trip!

Sorry if I left this part off. I paid $35.00 total for 2 Quick & Casual Meal Vouchers. The description said each voucher was good for one entree, one side dish, one non-alcoholic drink, and one dessert OR one combo meal, one non-alcoholic drink and one dessert. So, that being said, was this a good price?

Excuse my ignorance, but what 3 types are there? I'm not very familiar with meal vouchers.

Oh, I meant to ask also, what is the normal price for a meal voucher. You know, if I was still able to buy them, what would I expect to pay?

I thought about bidding on those but some of the prices were double or tripple what the actual meal would cost you. You got to be a real mean shallow person to take advantage of people like that. I particapted in a few bids but the price quickly got out of hand and I dropped out. Some of the people were really getting taken advantage of. Common sense is the key when dealing with some of the people selling vouchers. Let the buyer beware!

I paid $11.25 for each of the Q&C vouchers I used for our 2003 trip. Not sure how much they were going for through Hotwire or Connections recently before they stopped being sold, but I wouldn't pay more than $12 for each one - and maybe a $1 max total for shipping.

They're a great savings, but some of the counter service restaurants accepting them have menus where you barely come out even. Some menus give you more for your money. They are good to have prepaid meals though.

We used them primarily for lunches - splitting a meal since there was so much food. If you picked a typical meal in one of the parks, you'd get a $7 sandwich and fries, dessert for $2.50, drink for $2, plus tax. Of course, you can use them in many of the resort food courts where they have decent meals for $9 or higher (like roasted chicken with sides & roll), then pick a dessert for say $2.50, drink for $2, plus tax. That's where the vouchers save you the most.

I still can't believe how many Ebay sellers take advantage of people wanting to buy these. Some of the prices I've seen are outrageous.

I don't think you were ripped off too bad, but I hope the $35 you mentioned included shipping. Definitely check out the www.allearsnet.com website for menus and pick out the best value since you paid that much.

Hope this helps!

Some ebay sellers start them out at low prices, it's the shoppers who jack up the prices.
