Have any of you used any of those meal vouchers? You know, the ones that cost around $17.50 and get you an entree, side, drink and dessert?

We know they work at Beaches and Cream as well as many other places in The Kingdom, but wanted to know if any of you all have used them and found them to be a good investment.

Any experience is much appreciated.

Thanks!

I have used some that were purchased on ebay. Read the thread on the budget board and you'll find all the info. you need. Mine were not the cost savings I thought they would be because I had not discovered this website yet and didn't realize the ones I bought for $16-$17 were originally purchased for $11.25.

If you buy them direct and do your homework as far as checking menus/prices before you go, you can find out which counter service restaurants are the best ones to use. In my case, several of my meals had totals that were actually less than what I paid for the vouchers. I spent a lot of time going from restaurant to restaurant trying to find the ones with the highest prices to justify the cost of the vouchers (crazy, I know...but I was feeling "cheated").

Would I use them again? Most definitely...just better planning next time!

There are three types of vouchers:

Breakfast: good for any sitdown breakfast including the character meals(not Swan/Dolphin) and these are 17.75

quick&casual: these are good for almost all the counter service restaurants at the parks(except some carts) and many of the food courts in resorts. Good for one entree, side, drink, dessert for 11.50(used them with good value at Beaches and Cream, Pecos Bills, Tangerine Cafe, Food and Fun(Contemp), Plaza Pavillion).

Kingdom luncheon: good for sit-down restaurants in parks/resorts but only for lunch. They are 27.75 (higher now I think).

We have used the breakfast and q&c and love them. Nice to have some meals pre-paid. CM know about them and you don't have any problems using them. They also include tax and gratuity so they are good deal in that respect.

We were connections members (yearly membership was $79.00)and always had great service from them; although others have had issues. If you join for a trial $1/one month, make sure you cancel on time or they will charge you for the year. You can buy up to 40 of each kind of voucher per year. they increased the yearly fee significantly($139/yr) so I did not rejoin. They also had great discounts on park passes at IOA, US and WDW along with Blockbuster, TOYRUS and other restaurants so we have gotten our $79! Hope this helps. We have seen people selling these vouchers for WAY over value at e-bay..I don't recommend that. Floridaorlandotickets.com sells them for a much higher price, but there is no membership fee involved and Hotwire savings now sells these at same price connections . There is no fee with Floridaornadotickets.com and Hotwire has a $1 trial monthly membership. WE DO LOVE HAVING THESE AND USED 6 BREAKFAST AND 12 Q& C TO USE FOR OUR 12/28-1/02/04 TRIP.

OK - so I see from "the thread" that there are three types of vouchers - breakfast ones, lunch ones, and counter services ones. I bought some breakfast ones for $18.00 each and some counter services ones for $11.50 each.

Breakfast covers the buffets and will save a couple dollars each.

Lunch covers an entree, side, drink and dessert and will save loads, depending on where you are eating.

hotwiresavingsclub.com is where I got mine.
