I want to purchase meal vouchers for our up coming trip and I was wondering if we could buy 2 meal vouchers and split the meals between my husband,2 kids and me?

this may sound dumb- but what meal vouchers are you talking about? where can you buy them and what can you use them for??

We found the service staff very accommodating with sharing meals using the vouchers. They always seemed very glad to see the vouchers, since the know that the bill can get high - and their tip is included, therefore proportional to the bill.

I usually show the vouchers to the service staff before ordering and ask them to help us maximize the use of them without violating any of the rules. They are happy to explain how to that (see above) and we are happy and educated customers.

We have never had any difficulty using 2 or 3 vouchers for 4 people (2 adults, 2 children).

Then again, we haven't been there since 8/02 and things seem to change all the time....

These vouchers are from connections. If you want to purchase them, you can join for $80/yr and there are many discount with this program includeing movies, restaurants and park passes to WDW, Universal and others. I am a member and have found it great although some people have had negative experiences. usually they are about cancelling after a $1 trial month membership. If you buy these on e-bay, they sell for much higher prices than what you buy them for as a member. Then it really is not cost effective but it is a convenience to have some meals paid for before you go. I used the vouchers in dec and they were great. We just bought some for our June trip.

My sister and I shared one at Beaches and Cream just last week. They even cut the hamburger in half and gave us each an order of french fries. They were very generous.

Connears,

Am I understanding you correctly...the people who are selling them on eBay have the membership, buy the tickets, and then resell them?

Yes, that is what they do. I couldn't beleive it when I saw it. People are paying more than the going price. Most sellers on e-bay sell a group of 8 vouchers so folks don't quite know that they only cost 11.25. There is a 40 voucher per year limit with connections.

Please tell me where to go find more information about joining Connections. I did a limited search on the internet and didn't see anything that matched the program folks are referring to.
Thanks!

try connections123.com This is what we used when we joined but now it takes us to dealtime.com to login and then you get to connections site(this is the members only site). I assume you should find something at connections123.com
I'll check if you are not successful.

Thanks for the info. I went to the connections123 site and it had very vague information, requiring membership to learn more. Does anyone know if you purchase vouchers during the 30 day trial membership, then cancel, are you able to use the vouchers after the membership is cancelled?
We are headed to WDW Carribean Beach in May so maybe I should wait to join connections until the date gets closer.

you can order during your trial membership, get the vouchers and cancel, that is what most people do. Early in March we ate a Beaches and cream. It was very busy and 9 of us were not able to get in to eat. I had 4 vouchers --we ordered 4 burgers, 2 fries, 2 onion rings and the drinks. When I went to order the desserts I was not able to order the kitchen sink because it was not a takeout and we were eating outside. So...I picked the 4 most expensive desserts that I thought everyone would enjoy....wow. We fed everyone on the above and took 3 desserts back the the room. The bill was $80.00 and my cost was $44.00 --I was feeling pretty proud and wished that I bought more vouchers. The group included 4 adults, 2 -14 year old boys, a 12, 10 and 4 year old. My Dad kept saying wow. My plan when I bought them was to use them for a meal to share at the parks or at Typhoon Lagoon instead of buying snacks.....14 year olds are always hungry and to split a complete meal or two for our group was about the same cost of the snacks. Next time I will buy many more vouchers.

You can use the vouchers until they expire. Many people just get the one month trial. We found so much to use with the program we stayed with it. Not just for the WDW vouchers, but alot of other things at a discount.
