I have seen several auctions on E-Bay for "Quick and casual" meal vouchers, and some of them seem like a good deal. I have never used a meal voucher in my 40 plus visits to WDW. Are these vouchers transferable ? Do they have the name pre-printed on them ? Has anyone ever had any problems trying to use one they bought on e-bay ? I know they have an expiration date(these expire 2 months after my trip :earsboy: , is there anything else i should check ?

E-Bayers, lie and exaggerate the value of the vouchers. They were a reasonable deal when you could buy them for $11-$12.

At $15, the best rate available on the internet, the only place to get any value is Beaches and Cream and Pepper Market and then only if you order the more expensive items.

Some of the ebay auctions are going for more than $20. RIP OFF. Some of the sellers have the nerve to list the Pepper Market as an "inexpensive" restaurant. The truth is it's one of the two most expensive restaurant that accepts the vouchers.

It's not clear if you can get a shake or a smoothie as a drink.

They are transferable, there isn't any name on them. However, they are seldom a good deal on ebay. They are good for counter service, so if you add up the cost of combo meal or entree/side, dessert & drink, there are only a few restaurants where the vouchers are a value - Pepper Market, Beaches & Cream are 2. There is a thread on the budget board that explains the vouchers, the thread is older but the info in the first few posts is still correct:

Then there is another thread that tells about some websites where you can purchase the vouchers:

We used the vouchers in Dec. when they only cost $11.50, and we liked them. We purchased the $14.95 ones for our next trip to use only at PM & B&C, then ended up selling them because we now have the free dining.

Thank you for the info. I figured each "Q&C" meal cost roughly thirteen dollars if i was paying cash. so as long as i pay say ten dollars or less for each voucher i'm doing ok, right ?

YES, but you won't be able to buy them for that price. They cost $15 to buy from a legitimate vendor. They go for more than $20 on ebay. I guess you can hope for a no reserve auction with few bidders but not likely.

Tried to just ignore this, but I can't. MANY ebayers do exaggerate the value, but not all do. :flower:

Intended as a general statement. I'm sure there are one or two exceptions that make the rule. ;)

I'm sure you've seen the auctions. Calling the Pepper Market one of Disney's inexpensive restaurants. AFAIK even at $16 (you're right I have to add in tax, but I'll assume free delivery to a hotel or a large enough order to minimize shipping) I don't think you'll break even anyplace but PM and BC and even then not if you order typically as opposed to selecting the most expensive items.

Will Beaches even let you get a smoothie as a drink, as opposed to a dessert?
