I was determined to have dinner at rainforest cafe. After reading TR and seeing some gorgeous pictures I want to eat at Walt's also!

I'll have 4 dinners at DLP. Must are Mickeys cafe and Buzz. Can I do Buzz for lunch?
I do wanna try Annette's too.

We arrive around 16 at DLP first day and meal will be first thing to do after check in. Was thinking about Annette's, but maybe Walt's then?

HELP!!!!

How about you do dinner at Rainforest Café as planned - but make a later reservation and then you can squeeze in a fabulous lunch at Walt's :thumbsup2

this is what I was thinking about too :lmao:

Also we might to Annette's just before leaving DLP on our last day. :goodvibes

ANyway.. I want to do more, then I have time... :lmao:

Definitely go and have lunch or dinner at Walt's. We had dinner there last Christmas and asked to be seated by the window to watch the Fantillusion parade and that was the highlight of our trip. We didn't feel rushed at all, we sat and enjoyed our meal and also enjoyed the beautiful parade. So take a look at the programme, find out what time are the parades, and book a table, at least half an hour or even better earlier than the parade's sheduled time. Do you have half board plus vouchers? They have a lovely set meal but you can also choose of the main menu (my husband did so) and pay the difference from the voucher. But definitely don't miss this beautiful restaurant!:cloud9:

if the park is closed early walts is only available for lunch. the last sitting is half three. i would go to either annettes or rainforest cafe the day you book in. yes you can do buzz for lunch

Buzz (Pizza Planet) is probably best to do for lunch - don't think its often open at night, and its more casual fare. We enjoyed both Walts and Rainforest Cafe last time we visited, you should try to do both.
Walts is also sometimes only open for lunch or not open at all some days, you should definitely phone the dining reservations line and find out.

Annettes does offer some fantastic meals - and they are HUGE!! So if you want to eat before your journey home, you may be wise eating there! The only thing I will say is that on my last day I find it hard to be able to peel-myself-away from the Magic!! As Annettes is outside the park and in Disney village you may miss some extra bit of precious time in the park? Maybe this would be a lovely time to do a late lunch in Walt's on your last day?

That way you're in the park still, eating in a fabulous restaurant, it's all still magical and if you time it right and have a window seat you can eat whilst watching the parade!!

I know Lola ate here on her final day of her last trip and was really glad she did :wizard:

no, we didn't buy them. Didn't seem like a good idea.

So, plan would be:
1st evening arrival - grab something at Annette's as lunch/ early dinner. If we will be still hungry I think we can have a very late dinner. Right? Can we? Park is open till 22.00 on Sundays. What time to cafes and restaurants close?

2nd evening
lunch - King Liudwig's
dinner - Mickey's cafe

3rd
lunch - Colonel's Haithi pizza
dinner - rainforest cafe
We have Paris evening tour that evening. Brochure says it starts 20.00.

4th

lunch -Cowboy cook out
dinner - Buzz lighyear's pizza

5th
early lunch? (we leave around 11.15 a.m., flight is at 14.00)

sooo... ?

I'm having a similar dilemma, really do want to have lunch at Walts this time round, but also wanted to do Restaurant des Stars on the Saturday for lunch. Might swap them round and do Walts on Saturday (as it will be open that day, when it might not be on Monday which is our last day).

Off to change my meals list :rotfl:!

I think with park opening times you would have to eat in walts and buzz's pizza during the day. Id leave annettes until evening. Cafe mickey is fun but make sure to make reservations when you check in cause even in quiet seadon its always busy.

while I wrote my plan, you gave me so many good ideas :goodvibes
so, I can do Buzz for lunch.. It is in Studios, right?

oh yes, thanks for that.. Restaurant des stars.. ya.. I need more days in DLP...

this is why I want to plan everything and then make a call. But everything needs to be settled down before I make a call.

Oh, and you have to tell the number of persons, right? Not sure if my friend will want to do the same...

Sounds like a good idea! Annette's portions are huge so this will probably be enough for the whole night :thumbsup2

2nd evening
lunch - King Liudwig's
dinner - Mickey's cafe

You should phone and book Cafe Mickey as it gets very busy in the evenings. I've never been to King Ludwigs so can't comment on that - might be better to do Buzz Lightyear's Pizza Planet for lunch this day and King Ludwig's for dinner? Just a thought.

3rd
lunch - Colonel's Haithi pizza
dinner - rainforest cafe
We have Paris evening tour that evening. Brochure says it starts 20.00.
I like Colonel Haithis for good quality fast food. And you should have no trouble getting a table in Rainforest Cafe around 5.30pm so you're in plenty of time for your tour.

4th

lunch -Cowboy cook out
dinner - Buzz lighyear's pizza
I'm not totally sure Pizza Planet serves dinner? Maybe someone else can help with this? As I say, you might want to swap it around with King Ludwigs - this would mean you're not leaving the park at lunchtime, and that you can make the most of park time in the evening before dinner in the village when the parks close.

Walts would be a great choice for last meal, as Rottie says I did this on my last trip and it was the perfect way to end the holiday. If you actually have to leabe at 11.15 though it might be too early :( Walts is a firm favourite with everyone who has ever been there, maybe you could go there instead of Colonel Haithis? Colonels is ok but Walts is spectacular!

sooo... ?

Hope that helps! just my thoughts :) Definitely phone Disney to find out which restaurants are open when - I always have to change plans around once I do this.

how to know if Walt's serve dinner?... Oh those decisions. I'm going crazy :confused3:crazy:

Buzz is in the main parc, in Discoveryland.

I would love get rid of Buzz and do Walt's, but the little Buzz who's coming to DLP is looking forward to it :lmao::lmao:
so, again

1st day - arrival
Annette's. But I'm thinking of Walt's. You know - get in the mood, eat in the park...

2nd day
Lunch - It's Buzz then
Dinner - Mickey's cafe

3rd day ( I want to do studios that day)
Lunch - restaurant des stars?
Dinner - rainforest cafe

4th day
lunch - cowboy cook out (well, it's for DS) or Colonel haithi pizza
dinner - oh, I have an open spot :lmao:

5th day
Annette's before leaving at 11.15am?

Phone Disney :) they might tell you things are shut on days you're planning to go there, or not serving dinner etc etc, so its actually best to know before you get your heart set on your plans! Or have a couple of different options before you phone.

Walt's hours seem to be very hit-and-miss so it may be worth you calling to find out its opening hours for the day you arrive, otherwise it may only be open for lunch?

If this is the case, I don't want to spoil your re-jiggery of ideas  but would it be a nice start to the holiday if you booked dinner in Café Mickey for your first night? There's no better way of getting into the Disney spirit than a meal with Mickey Mouse himself on day one!! :wizard:

I always love to start my Disney holiday with a character dinner. :cloud9:
