Meal questions

1.) If we're staying at the Carousel and have no car which would be the best Character Breakfast to choose for ease of access?

2.) Is there anything like the ice cream social at DL like at Epcot?

You should be able to get to any Character Meal pretty easily from your hotel. Although, the ones at the theme parks and the Grand Californian are a little closer than the ones at the Disneyland Hotel and Paradise Pier hotel.

My favorite character meal as always been Goofy's kitchen. Especially now that they are in a better facilty. I feel like a get the biggest bang for my buck here. It also has the biggest variety of food and I think the quality is good too. We always do brunch about 10:30-11:00. We avoid the early crowd rushing to get to the park and just miss the lunch crowd. As a result my nieces have always had high quality time with the characters. My youngest niece still talks about how the Mad Hatter kept following her around to get her food and playing with her pony tails. We even have a picture of him pulling her pony tails up over her head.

we are staying at the carousel to!! we plan on doing goofys kitchen and also at 11:00 so we can do some park time then take the monorail as close to the motel as possible for the meal at goofys. we look forward to going there, we have never been to disneyland so we are all pretty excited!!! when are you going to be staying at the carousel? we go in 13 days yeah!!!!!

I also would recommend Goofy's as a brunch so you can use that valuable morning time for getting on to rides. We always do that and really enjoy it.

We also have had really good character interactions at Ariels in DCA and found the food to be great. Frankly, this last time we went (last month), I felt like we got more characters and more time w/them at Ariel's than at Goofy's.
