meal price question

So, here on the DIS I went to the menus section to see what the cost of Chef Mickey's is for breakfast. We are 4 Disney adults. On the menu section it states that breakfast is from * $15-35.99. What is with the asterick? How much is this meal? It makes a big difference when estimating my total. Trying to decide if DDP is right for us by checking out meal prices for the TS we want to do. This is no help at all. So hoping someone out there can help me out.

FYI: I already checked Allears.net and the menu hasn't been updated since 2010.

Character buffet meals, such as Chef Mickey's, charge a flat rate. My guess is that the $35.99 is either an error OR reflects worst-case seasonal prices (they do jack the prices up at the busiest, holiday times).

Personally, given the adult price of $26.62 currently appearing on Allears, I would estimate a $30 per adult and figure that pretty much gets you there with tip. The lower end price would be the child's price.

I get a price of $26.62. I believe the higher price is for dinner.

Breakfasts tend to be a poor value under the ddp. Under a basic breakdown of elements, you are paying approximately $28-30 for each TS meal.

The lowest end price would be a child's breakfast - highest, an adult dinner (+/- any peak season surcharges), that's why there is such a variance when you look @ the website. If you want to know for sure the price on your date, call and ask and they can tell you.
