There is no advantage to them. It's the same as paying w/ cash when you get there. I would rather pay when you get there, than take the risk that you may not use them after all.
Nay, I agree that it really doesn't have any kind of advantage. It also limits where you can eat. Since it doesn't work for DTD, and obviously offsite. Which will save you money if you eat offsite here and there.
I vote for nay. We did this in May and it was not really worth it to us. Because you do not get change back, you end up buying more food than you would normally (which is a waste). We ended up getting way too much food - ie. at Cafe Orleans we each ordered pommes frites and a Monte Cristo and more than half of it was wasted because it was way too much food for us (even my DS who is 12 and eats like a typical teenage boy - meaning lots and often ). You also will probably need to add cash as well, because some of the dollar value ones - who can order something that costs EXACTLY $10??
We actually had quite a few vouchers left over - which is fine as long as you're going again within the calendar year, but sucks if you're not. We are, so we'll just use them up in October.
NAY!!! One CM took one too many vouchers. She denied doing it, so I had to waste time at City Hall getting it fixed. There is too much chance for error or loss.
I vote Nay also. If you use your credit card, you can earn points while there if you use a credit card that gives you money back. My rule is don't exchange real money for fake if there is no monetary advanatage.
