For the DP, each studio is considered separately. Everyone in a studio must purchase the DP for each night of the stay. Yo don't have to have all 4 studios on the DP.
However, the credits are pooled by room, not by individual. Each room key for a studio on the DP will have access to the entire pool of credits for that studio. The guests do not have to be together to use the credits and theoretically, one person could use all the credits for himself/herself (not sure one person could eat 4 person's worth of food, though, LOL. I had a lot of trouble just eating food for one!).
I thought if it was ONE reservation, that everyone on the reservation had to have the dining plan.
My son did a pretty good job on using nearly all the snack credits by himself. Those clandestine treks down to Roaring Forks to get a cupcake used up a bunch of them.
Each studio would be its own reservation, so what you could do, is put those wanting the DDP on 1 reservation with the DDP and the other guests in the studios without it.
I have 2 studios booked next March and everyone has chosen the DDP but we could have chosen to have 1 and not the other.

I have some uncertainty about whether every room is considered separate for DDP purposes (I've heard both ways), so I'd suggest that you tell MS exactly what you want to do and have them structure the ressie(s) appropriately. There is no question that some can have DDP and some can opt out if, in fact, the ressies are separate.
