Meal Plan Questions

I'm so confused. I was hoping someone could give me some info on the meal plan. I'm having a difficult time finding the info online.

We are staying at a Disney resort, and we already have our tickets. Can I purchase the meal plan if we already have our Park Hopper tickets?

Also, if my family is on the meal plan and we dine with another family who is not on the meal plan, will that be a problem? Or does everyone at the table have to use the meal plan?

You can only participate in the Dining Plan if you are on a Magic Your Way package. Which means, you have to purchase your room, at least one day of park tickets (for all in your party). then you can purchase the Dining Plan for length of stay.

You can, of course, but will still be required to purchase additional admission (at least a one-day pass for each). You can save that admission for use on a future visit, if you wish.

Not yet, at least. At this point, as long as they each order their own meals and pay cash/credit card, and you each order your own meals and pay with your Dining Plan credits, no problem. Keep in mind that, because they're eating with you, they will be subject to an automatic gratuity of 18% for their meals.
