I know that there have already been many posts on the Meal Deal a Universal. But I experienced it today.

In a word...AWESOME!

I enjoyed a variety of meals, delicious desserts and more. I found that they did have a great variety. I did the one park-one day deal at Universal Studios. They had originally said that only 3 restaurants were involved...but it was actually 5!!

Great stuff! Highly recommended!

So glad you enjoyed it!! We are heading down in a week and I bought the meal deal for all 5 of us for one day. Can you tell me more about the desserts? Everyone has said they were disgusting and consists of a bundt cake or cookie. Were there other choices? Dessert is important to DH and kids. Might buy a second day's worth or meal deal tickets if you recommend. Which were your favorite restaurants? Thanks.

We went to the Stuios, and our favorite restaurants were Mel's Diner (only one that has chix fingers), Louie's Pizza (great for Italian), and International Food Festival (they have a mix of asian, american, italian and salads).

As for the desserts, they have a choc. chip cookie, bundt cake, a choc. pastry (mousse, choc cake and choc frosting), and a jello cup (red and blue jello with whipped cream..how pretty!)

Your gonna love it! Keep in mind that you have to get your food 30 minutes before the park closes if you want to eat up to the last minute (like we did!)

Have a great time!!!

Hello, glad you enjoyed the Meal Deal as I have bought it also for one day and I'm planning on using it at the Studios as well. You stated that they had 5 participating locations? What are the other two?

Thank you!

Mel's Diner, Louie's Pizza, Monster Cafe, International Food Festival, and Richter's Burgers! Yummy yummy!

Also I believe that Mastercard has a special if you go ahead and purchase you can get the meal deal for $14.99 instead of $19.99

Where could I find out about what the meal deal includes? Is it on the universalorlando website? Thanks, Linda

I just bought our tickets on Wednesday for the $14.99 price! Glad I didnt wait!

With the two extra restaurants on the USO side, I wonder if the restaurants stated on the IOA side is all that's included??? Anyone know?

This is new to me:sad2:

With this meal deal..you can say eat at 11am, afternoon, & late dinner (as long as its 1/2 hr before closing?)

So in the afternoon if you just want a slice of pizza or something?:upsidedow

for the one day meal deal, you have to specify which park you want the promo for. if you want both parks, it is more money. stick with one park for the meal deal.

to the next poster, yes, you can go back up for another slice of pizza.
you can return for all the food you can eat. but, you can't share the food.

Did the Meal Deal again yesterday...winner!

Another wonderful day of riding, relaxing and eating!

We went before Mardi Gras to get our final meal...and let me tell you, leave time before the parade. The smaller stuff was closing and people had to rely on those Meal Deal places and had HUGE lines!

Well worth it though!

Oh by the way, I haven't seen the $14.99 since Thurs. not sure if they have it anymore now.....:confused3

So am I reading this right, you can go through the line as often as you like, so we can do lunch and dinner for the $19.99? Hmmmmm!

I will be doing the same. I guess it is ok as long as you do not go up and get a seperate meal for her using your tickets. My dd will not eat a full meal and neither will I so we will share.
