Hi, Long Time Lurker Here.
I was checking out the meal deal for my visit next week and I was sent to a website where the 2 park deal can be purchased online. Is this possible? I thought it was sold only at the parks. I really want to try this for my daughters bottomless-pit friend. Thanks! You guys rock!

Does anyone know? I don't want to purchase the deal online and have it not be valid. The main Universal site still says it must be purchased at the park, But when you click to purchase the one park deal both options show up. That is not a good thing for an indecisive person like me.
Thanks again.

The two park meal deal is available for purchase on the official site (universalorlando.com) so it will be valid. If you click on ticket details you will see that it doesn't include Citywalk: "Does not include dinner entrees at Universal CityWalk®."

Thanks Phamton! There are a lot of people more computer smart than me. I'm always worried about a scam.

We purchased ours online just this past summer. Basically, we printed out the receipt / voucher and it had instructions to exchange it at the park. At US we went to Guest Services where the receipt / voucher was exchanged for tickets - 1 ticket per person per day. Then the tickets were redeemed at the participating restaurants for wristbands each day. Really easy to do and very much worth it.

Ours, 2 park tickets, were good for Citywalk. The TM at Guest Services mentioned that it was because we were visiting at a slow time. That was an unexpected bonus for us! :) We ended up not eating at CityWalk, didn't want to leave the parks but it was still nice knowing we could have a nice sit-down dinner if we wanted to.

Have a great trip!!

The US/IOA website does not give enough info (for me) on the meal deal but I did find info about it on another website (but don't know where). It included a meal at Citywalk but only during certain hours. Now my question is, when you use the meal deal it looks like it limits the menu at each place. Is this right or can you order anything? Also, can't you use your AAA card for a 10% discount on food? I remember doing this last time??

Sometimes Citywalk is included but right now it isn't.

You don't get a 10% discount with AAA if you are using the meal deal but can if you are not using the meal deal.

Meal Deal Menu

We have USO PAPs and always get a food discount.
Just thought I would mention this in case you had a USO PAP.
I think I have also used the AAA card in stores for discounts. I don't recall asking about AAA in food places.

The CityWalk meal tickets were only good at 4 restaurants during our time frame and only during evening hours. It was Bob Marley's, Pastamore, Pat O'Briens and ... I can't remember the 4th. I think it was 5 - 10 but I'm not 100% certain. They were only good for the date printed and I tossed them after our trip so I can't double check. Seems to me that it may have been a limited menu but again, I can't recall for certain.

I think we just got really lucky, for a change, because the parks were open until 10 during our time frame. I don't know, maybe it's because Disney had just started their Free Dining promo that we got, in essence, upgraded Meal Tickets?

We really enjoyed having the Meal Deal. Sometimes we just stopped in and grabbed a dessert or DS12 would be ready to eat a meal again and we'd opt for dessert only. With 2 big eaters, DH & DS12, it worked out great for us.

Hi. We're going to try to do both parks in one day.Can it be done? also trying to decide on the meal deal not sure if I totally understand it. You can eat at any of the places all day long or just one time at each . sorry don't understand how it works yet. My son is a big eater so thought this may be good any help would be appreciated..Thanks

as far as doing both parks in one day it can be done but not that fun cause you will have to miss some things and you have to be there when the park first opens.
yes the meal deal you can eat all you want at selected restarunts within the parks but not a good deal if your only going to eat once and I found it was much cheaper for us to eat without it plus the meal deal you don't get drinks .
so you wind up paying more anyway.
Hope this helps and have a great time :woohoo:
