city walk empties into the front of island of adventure.
i stay on site for years now.
i could be wrong on this as the last time i went from the parking garage thru city walk to enter the universal park was back in 1995.
i think the longest walk is from the parking garage to the walkover area.'
you can take the moving sidewalk or walk on the side of it .
i think it took me about 10 minutes from where i parked my car in the garage to where i entered the park.
city walk has shops, movie theater and resturants on both sides of it.
once you start in the city walk area, it is not a long walk to the park.
there are some resturants such as nba city and hard rock cafe on one side of the canal area in front of the park entrances that go from ioa to the studios side.
on the other side of the canal are more resturants you can see.
the boats for the onsite hotels are stationed in the water way area/canal
when i think of city walk, i also assume the sections on both sides of the waterway are included for that area. just the way i think of it. doesn't mean i am correct though on calling that area city walk.
i left the park on a friday and went to hard rock cafe to eat.
it probably only took about 45 minutes out of my day from park time.
I could certainly use the Movie Meal Passes but we are leaving Thursday so not enough time for mailing.
I am confused. Is there a site on the 'net that lists the menus of the restaurants that participate with the Meal Deal? If so, could someone post a link? TIA
I just thought of another question: The previously provided link shows the ticket for the 1-day Meal Deal sipper cup but can't you also purchase a refillable cup at the parks that you can just keep filling all day? TIA
Thanks, I'll go back and look at the first page. We did go to WDW in June. DH didn't go then and he has decided he needs a little break before winter. He prefers USO to WDW and so we will spend 1 day at Epcot and 3 days at Universal. I am so glad he decided he could manage to get away before year end 'cause I am looking forward to being in 80° weather for even just a few days as opposed to the snow we are already forecast to get!
You are right. There was a link that went to a link. I am not quite ready for our trip.....even tho' I thought I was. Now these little details are jumping out and screaming at me.
i didn't repost any links as before i left i noticed in phamton's second post all the info was in that.
phamton knows a lot of stuff.
i'm glad phamton posts a lot.
i was at universal for 4 days last week and saw something about the refillable beverage thing.
for me, i didn't bother. i bought the dueling dragon tall mug with a handle back in 96 and i bring it with me for every trip to UO.
yes, universal allows that.
i use my pap and get the refills at a discount. i think i paid $1.21 each time.
that was good enough for me.
i did not pursue buying another mug for the free refill or what ever cost it was.
if you buy a universal mug, you can bring it back each vacation and use it.
i will continue to use mine until the handle falls off.....
hope you have a great trip linda.
the weather will be so much better than where you are in the west.
i read your temp gauge in your siggie.
i came back to a first snow in chgo from 90 degree on the my last day in orlando.
Thank you thank you for all the info. I did not know about the refillable mugs. I think we will get some this trip. I always count on Macraven and Phamton for all the news that's fit to print on USO!
I saw the Chicago weather on the news this past week! {{shudder}} I hate jumping from summer to winter!
