We used ME last week. The ease of return makes me want to try it again but as I was sitting on the bus, waiting to leave on arrival, I swore - never again. We landed at 6:45pm. There were plenty of big white Mickey hands pointing us in the right direction. Counter check-in was very quick and efficient. We had received our vouchers and tags prior to departure. I was traveling alone with 3 kids and DH was coming in on a later flight that evening and picking up the rental. I asked the guy at the ME counter if we could load our bags and get our boarding passes on the return but ride back our rental. He said that they were not a luggage carrier, however, when you check in at the hotel on the return, your luggage goes to the airport then. It does not go on the bus with you, so... nod, nod, wink, wink. Then we waited for our bus to Beach Club. This is when it got to be too long for 3 kids. We waited for awhile, then I believe they ended up putting us on a bus that expanded the route because there was a little confusion. Once on the bus, we waited for awhile longer. The driver didn't have a movie so we couldn't watch anything but we could see in the other buses and they had their's on while waiting. That might have made it a little easier on the kids. We stopped at Caribbean, I think - is that in Epcot area? Then Boardwalk - then I think us at Beach Club or we may have stopped at Swan/Dolphin - I'm getting the other transportation stops confused. This was about 9pm. So I guess, not too bad but not great either. I wanted the luggage that night so I planned to wait up on it. I waited for awhile and finally called down about 11pm. They got it to me around midnight. I'm not sure what the delay was there. I would suggest calling down for your luggage immediately upon getting to your room if you want it quickly. I should have called earlier instead of waiting for it to appear. It was Beach Club bell services who delivered it. For some reason, I thought it would be ME folks but that doesn't make sense now. If bell delivers your luggage and you are not in the room, they don't get tipped. Now I'm remembering that as I was walking away from the front desk and down the hall, looking lost with 3 kids, a bell guy stopped me and asked me if I needed help with my luggage. I obviously didn't have any on me and I told him we used ME so it should be coming. I should have had him check to see if it was there then - I bet it was - and had him bring it up. I think bell services are losing tips by delivering the luggage without the guests being there. JMHO.

Now, on the return, we checked 8 bags and got 4 boarding passes. We had to use the car seats on the drive back so DH checked in at the airport with those 2 pieces. That was very easy but they were getting a little backed up at the ME desk at the hotel. It is a very good thing that we were able to transport the majority of the luggage back because it never would have fit in the van we were in.

So I'm not sure if we would use it again. We typically always get a van anyway because my DH can't stand not having a vehicle. We only used it this time because I was coming in separate with the kids.

Don't talk about a rental car within earshot of the ME cast members.

I would not specifically wait up in the room for the luggage upon checking in, better to get dinner at the food court or restaurant first if applicable. This at least gives a longer time and therefore a better chance for automatic delivery.

You are not supposed to tip the bellman when arriving at the hotel, DME takes care of his tip. Your checked luggage is sent from the airport on a truck, I would imagine it's sorted by hotel at the airport, which takes time. Chances are it probably will not be there yet when you first get to the hotel.
