Does anyone know how far in advance that ME will pick you up for the return flight home? We have a 2pm flight and trying to figure out if I have time to do the Haunted Halloween 5k on our check out day (it starts at 7 am).

Thanks!

They will be picking you up 4 hours early on departure day - which means about 10am for you. They consider flights to Canada as international. However, if your final destination is an American city - then ME will pick you up 3 hours ahead of your scheduled departure.

I hope this helps

True and you can also request a later pick up time if you want I asked ME about this. So if you check in online or mobile then you won't have to arrive so early at MCO.

I tried that when i was last there in 2009 and the person I talked to on the phone said they couldn't move it even when I told her that the airline I was flaying said I didn't even need to be at the airport until two hours before. I also said that the ticket counter at the airport wouldn't likely be open when they would have me arriving. When I got to the airport I was right and there were a few other fellow Canadians both from WDW and off of DCL that were there waiting for the check in area to open up.

Psst! You may not request a later Magical Express time back to the airport.

Suggestion: If your last activity in Orlando-&-environs is a meal, do that at the airport. You may request an earlier DME bus time if you wish to. Normal deadline for any changes is morning of the day before you checkout day.

Shoot to be back at your resort an hour before your DME bus back to the airport. For a 2 PM flight this means being back at 9 AM. IMHO not worthwhile going to a park.

Here's what i do. Since, I usually fly MCO to EWR, the EWR to YHZ. I simply give Disney my MCO to EWR flight info, with my final destination being New Jersey. Works for me. :)

The common work-around or "hack" is to give Disney later return flight info, so that you don't have to be at the airport 4 hours early. Pick an airline that checks-in at the same terminal as yours if your airline doesn't offer any flights around the time you need. ;)
