Good evening everyone :wave2:
I have a question about Disney's Magical Express. A little info on my situation....I am booked to take a Disney cruise this November and originally planned to take the cruise transfers directly from the airport to the port (was flying in on day of cruise). I have now decided to arrive a few days earlier and spend some time at Disneyworld before our cruise. I have contacted my TA and he stated that I am better off booking the hotel over the internet to get a better deal. (I did find a great deal on Disneys Port Orleans French Quarter cheaper than what my TA quoted). My flight has been changed to arrive 3 days before the cruise and my cruise transfers are now from POFQ to the port, but I have to get to the hotel from the airport first. Since I will be staying onsite, how does the ME work? If I book my hotel over the internet (not booking directly with Disney), am I still able to use ME? Do I have to register somewhere with Disney for it? Basically I am looking for any info on how ME works and how I sign up for it? Sorry for the long-winded explanation of my question!
Thanks for any info and help I can get!!! :sunny:

DME is fine as a one-way operation.

It also makes no difference how you book your trip, or whether it's a package versus room-only, etc.

Since it seems you already have your room booked, you can call DME directly at 866-599-0951. HOWEVER, it's possible that you may have to call Disney's Central Reservations instead (407-WDISNEY), because it's possible that the DME computer system itself may be unable to to process a reservation more than 60 days into the future. If DME can't take your reservation, then CRO certainly will. It makes no difference that you booked online, they'll still help you out over the phone.

Please post back if this doesn't answer all your questions.

Erin, I am doing the exact same thing next August. We will take DME to our 'land' portion, before heading to Port C. for the cruise part. Using DME just for your arrival is no problem. As Eric said, just call Disney directly to add it to your reservation.

Thank you both very much with your replies. :sunny:
Any idea when I should contact disney to reserve ME? Is it too early now to do it, we leave in November?
Thanks again

This would be a good time to call them. They like you to contact them at least a month ahead, earlier if at all possible. I booked DME for my Oct trip back in the spring. As long as you have all the info regarding flight numbers, you should be good to go.
