ME on Southwest?

You can use ANY airline with ME. Inbound it's the same, use the special ME tags and you're luggage will get pulled behind the scenes.

Leaving your resort you can check your luggage at the resort if you're using a participating airline. SW isn't participating so you're luggage will have to go under the bus for you to check at the airport.

We are also using Southwest and ME. Once we get to Orlando, do we need to pull our luggage of the carousel, or is that done for us?? Just curious!

Read my reply to the OP just above your post.

I posted the following on another thread, but I think it bears repeating here ....

Disney has to do something to clear up all the confusion that's out there. The term "participating airline" makes it sound like you can't use DME if you're airline isn't on that list. Nothing could be further from the truth.

DME has 2 parts in each direction: bus ride, and luggage handling.

ARRIVAL:
Bus ride: EVERYONE gets a ride to their WDW resorts
Luggage handling: EVERYONE has their luggage handled for them (magically appears in their WDW hotel rooms).

DEPARTURE:
Bus ride: EVERYONE gets a ride from their WDW resorts to the airport
Luggage handling: Most people have to take their own luggage on the bus with them and then check-in at the airport like for any normal flight. People on participating airlines get to check their luggage at the hotel and then don't see it again until they arrive at their home airport; those same people also get to actually check-in for their flight at the hotel rather than at the airport.

the Participating ones? Does anyone know? Thanks
Airlines for which you can check baggage at the resort immediately upon room check out are: American, Continental, Delta/Song, United/Ted.

Note: Hours of the resort airline baggage check in stand are limited, typically 6 AM to 2 PM. For early morning plane depatures not able to utilize those open hours, everybody has to load their baggage under the ME bus.
