ME on DVC rental to friends

I have renters who have 3 kids of car seat age and will be renting a car for their stay in FL. The cost to rent car seats is unbelievably high. The dad wants to rent the car, get car seats at WalMart or have them shipped to the resort while the wife and kids go on Magical Express. Can they do that? I know I have to set it up for them but I am not seeing a downside to this.

Experiences please? Opinions?

Yes, they can. Once they have the Reservation number from you they can call Disney for ME, giving the Flight Number and Resort info.

The one downside I see, is what are they planning to do with the car seats once they are done? I suggest they use ME both ways then Dad can drop the seats off at a Charity, like maybe GKTW, before returning the car.

When my kids were little, we just had them use their car seats on the plane. It made the flight much easier, because they couldn't wiggle out of the plane seatbelt, and then you have them for the rental car. Another option is to just check the carseats with your luggage. I believe that most airlines do not charge for that, and even if they do, it is still cheaper than buying new ones (although I love the donate to Give Kids the World idea...)
