We have two reservations. When I added my parents to them both they didn't send new ME packets so I called last week for them. Well, they came today and it's wrong. They sent us a packet for arriving at the second reservation even though I thoroughly explained the situation on the phone to the CM. The new packet came in 3 days so if they sent one out today it would definitely get here just in time, but the CM I just spoke to wouldn't send one. Now we are one luggage tag short. The ME CM I just spoke to assured me I just need to give them the bag check receipt for the untagged bag and they will fetch it but now I'm freaking out! Has anyone else had ME fetch an untagged bag? Did it work out alright?

Hi there! Relax! The first time I used ME, I didn't receive any documents at all. I just checked in at the ME desk at MCO and gave them my luggage tag receipt and it all worked out great. They fetched my luggage and it was in my room later, just like Magic. I was worried about it too, but it all worked great. Have a great vacation!

Thanks for the reassurance. My parents are turning my trip upside down lol. I've never taken them with us before and it seems ever since I added them things have been going awry!

You're welcome. It really is very easy. And if it makes you feel better, you can retrieve your luggage yourself and just bring it to check in, the driver will just put it under your bus and give it back to you at your resort. I've done that when I have arrived on very late flights. No worries! How wonderful to go with your parents. Take lots of pics and enjoy your time together!

The yellow tags for the second ressie will work on the first ressie if you don't get new tags punctually. Draw one line through the incorrect information and write in the correct information.

(Don't mark through the bar code or the mickey head.)

Bring that booklet with you also.

All guests arriving after 10 PM must go to the carousels and get all baggage, properly yellow tagged or not.

Even though they have the wrong ressie number and dates?

You're instinct is correct. The reservation numbers have to be the same. So you can't use tags that are for a different resrevation.
When you called and spoke to someone, where did you call? Did you call DME directly or did you contact Disney? Just curious.
I will say that we have never needed more than one tag pp, and even then, we usually only use two tags for three of us. But, we are light packers.

I called DME directly. We only have 3 tags for 5 people with 4 bags total so we are one tag short.

THanks for the response. It looks like you're going to have to hand DME a baggage claim receipt...just be sure you give them the right one!!! You will go through the checkin line, give them the total number of bags, a description of the bag, and the receipt. They will then send someone to get it and deliver it to your resort.

Or, you can just go to baggage claim yourself and get it. Your choice.
