ME Luggage Tags? - UPDATE 4/20 - NEW UPDATE 4/26

I can't figure our why everyone is so stressed about not getting DME tags yet. WHAT IS THE WORST CASE SCENARIO???

I'll tell you: At MCO, you'll go to baggage claim, gets your checked bags, and then get them loaded onto your DME bus so you get your FREE ride to your WDW resort. Sure, it's not what they promised, but it's still better than paying for Mears or a car service, right???

We've gotten so spoiled so fast. We're getting a FREE RIDE, a ride we used to have to pay for!!! All in all, that's not a bad thing. I'll be arriving on May 8, so it's not like this all doesn't affect me, too. Just relax, you're going away on vacation soon! It will be magical, even if you have to, dare I say it, drag your own luggage around for a few minutes.

You right is it a huge deal? No, but I am 6 mo. pregnant, have a 2yo, 4yo, a stroller, etc. If we thought we'd have to deal with the luggage ourselves we would have used another town car service AND gotten to stop at the grocery store. Plus with no discounts being offered for hotel rooms at this point the least they can do is manage to send out the luggage tags on time.

I think all we are doing is trying to see if we are the only ones who haven't gotten our tags yet. Plus it's one more thing to cross off my incredibly long to-do list.

I'm anxious to see how this all turns out for people traveling in May because we are going in June. We've been having a few minor problems with them getting our mail to us now. Hopefully this week everything will get on schedule. Have a Good Trip Everyone!

No, but I am 6 mo. pregnant, have a 2yo, 4yo, a stroller, etc. If we thought we'd have to deal with the luggage ourselves we would have used another town car service AND gotten to stop at the grocery store. I do NOT miss those days of tiny children and diaper bags and strollers! Have a great trip and be sure and take time to put your feet up!

I'm in similar shoes. We'll have a double and single stroller, our carry-ons (which I am trying hard to limit to one or two). Plus, as long as ME works the way it is supposed to, up to 10 pieces of luggage. (There are are 2 adults, 3 kids.) I know we won't pack 10 suitcases (I don't own that many!), but yes, it is important to know if ME is going to work or not. I think it will. We are leaving May 15, but have not received our ME tags yet. I'm hoping we get them with the shipment Disney is saying it is FedExing on Monday.

I'm right there with you, Tiredmommy. Although my wife's not pregnant (and neither am I!), we have a 2 year old, a 5 year old, a stroller, etc. too. We're getting a grocery delivery from Gooding's on the day of our arrival, which prevents the need for a grocery stop (and saves the time of the grocery stop, too!). That way, I'll be sure to have all the stuff my kids love and need, like milk, yogurt, cheese sticks, fresh fruit, etc. I'm packing some dry and non-perishable grocery items, and getting some delivered. Definitely packing diapers -- need the room for souvenirs on the return home! Of course I don't want to schlepp my suitcases around the airport, but it's not so difficult. Either rent one of those carts, corral an employee to assist you (and tip well), or do what we did when we first had kids -- buy the type of suitcases with wheels and retractable handles; you can attach carry-ons to them, too, which will hopefully leave you with a free hand. We're also packing light, which is difficult for us as we are compulsive over-packers. We plan on doing laundry at least once, and wearing most outfits twice. With little ones, laundry will be easy. We're staying at CBR, which has laundry facilities at each "quiet pool" -- we'll do it while the kids are napping or swimming. In doing that, we're keeping our luggage to a minimum.

I received my ME luggage tags and information book by FedEx on saturday morning. We leave May 6th, so I guess we're some of the guinea pigs!!

I just phone today and was told I would be receiving my ME stuff today. It was Fed EXed on Friday.

I called the WDW reservation line tonight to confirm some details re. my upcoming trip (May 12-16 woohoo!) and they told me the ME tags/info had been sent by "express post" and not mail. Perhaps the people who are coming on May 5/6 got theirs via courier, but the others in the early stages might be receiving them by mail.

I've been checking my mail everyday for news and packages... can't wait to head down south , especially as we had SNOW yesterday!

Leaving on the 6th. and haven't recieved mine yet. I assume that Fedex won't require a signature. If so, we won't get them at all with our hours. If I don't get them today, I will call.
