If we don't plan to rent a car for our stay in October, do we still need a booster seat for the Magical Express to our resort? My DD is four years old so we have her in a Britax Frontier Clicktight. I normally bring it for the plane ride since we need it for rental car purposes. However, it seems like we could leave it at home? Or have I lost my mind?

No, you don't need to carry a booster seat for DME. They need to be stowed underneath if you have one with you.

Oh wow, it's not even allowed. Well that makes life simpler. Do you think it's worth bringing as a checked bag without having a rental car for any reason? I'd really rather not?

Let me clarify, you cannot use a car seat on the bus. They will store it under the bus with the rest of the carry on items. If it were me, I wouldn't bring it at all.

Thanks, I see what you mean now. I appreciate the honesty about not bringing the seat. We have a Britax cart that it straps to but just bringing it is a pain.

One of the benefits to us of not renting a car and relying on Disney transportation is not having to fly with the carseat. If you aren't renting a car, you won't need it-- definitely helps lighten the travel load.

Yes, and with a Britax, it will be a LIGHTER load. Man, those seats are heavy!!

my husband and I specifically stayed at a Disney resort over the Swan so that we didn't have to haul/install my daughter's seat, and she was only 2.5 on our last trip. My narrow option was a clek foonf, so I know the heavy seats and the dread of taking them anywhere that's not your own regular vehicle!

My daughter also loved the 3 point seat belts on the bus. She decided that she must wear it (apparently she's listened when we told her she doesn't go anywhere not strapped in) even though it was of course far too large for her. She did this on the way to the resort and the way back to the airport.

Hope you have a wonderful, lighter trip!
