Edited to add: I just noticed the post by AnneofGreenGables which basically asks this same question, but I would still love to hear any specific experiences or answers to possibilities for getting from All STar Music to GF. Thanks!

My flight is scheduled to arrive at MCO at 441p (I do realize this could change).... I'm thinking about making an ADR for the Gala feast at GF that evening (if there is time)... So I wonder how long to get from MCO to All STar Music? Approx. Would love to hear experiences of how long after flight arrival you arrived at your hotel? We will have 3 adults and a 4 1/2 year old.

Also, I went to ourlaughingplace and figured it would be 54 min. from all Star Music to the Grand Floridian... anyone else have any tips on how to get there faster?

Thanks!
:) Cheryle

:welcome: to the DIS!!! If you land about 4:45, you 'should' be at your resort by 6ish. But, this can be a very busy time at MCO, so it could very well take longer. I have usually been at my resort checkin line about 70 minutes after deplaning. So, if all goes well, you could be at AllStars at 6:00-6:15. Checkin takes about 20 minutes, depending on how many are in line with you. Then, about 45 minutes to get to GF...you would have to go to the MK then hop on the monorail, or take the small ferry boat to GF from MK.
You might be better off just getting a cab, it will take a lot less time.
All in all, you will most likely be a bit rushed if you try to get any seatings before 7:30 or so. And that would be a best case scenario.....it could take longer.

Thank you so much for the welcome! and for the advice.... I was thinking about possibly a 7:45 or later seating (question, I believe that dinner goes until 8:30, when would the last seating be?)... our meals will probably be off schedule anyway that day... we'll be on Disney property two other evenings, but I wanted to plan to be at Magic Kingdom at suppertime for those...

Do you know how much a cab would cost for the trip from Music to GF? 4 people...

I don't know for sure...but I think most people find cab fares to be in the $10-12 range around WDW.

Thanks for the cab information.
I just talked with my mom today (she'll be going with us on the trip) and we came to the conclusion that it's going to be a long day and with possible flight delays we could be stressed about missing our reservation for a dinner the day of arrival.
I think we'll schedule the dinner for the first full day of trip ... we'll just take the monorail from Magic Kingdom over to the Grand Floridian, have our dinner and then head back to the park.
Thanks for all your input. I'm getting pretty excited. :)
