ME and luggage

We're getting into Orlando around 7:00 p.m. tomorrow. I don't have ME luggage tags (because they never sent them) but am registered for the ME. Can I grab my bags at baggage claim and bring them on the bus with me? When we arrive at the resort, will the ME driver unload my bags? We plan on having an early night and I don't want to be awakened at 11 p.m. when our luggage is delivered! Of course, I'll tip the driver for helping us out.

Yes. That will work just fine. If you take your luggage to the bus, your bags will ride underneath and the driver will unload them at your resort.

If you decide you do want DME to handle your luggage, you can just stop at the Welcome Center and give they your claim numbers and a description of the bags. They should arrive at your resort room within three hours of resort check in.

With no yellow tags on your luggage, going to the carousel to get the luggage is optional.

With a 7 PM arrival into Orlando, there is still a significant chance the luggage will be automagically delivered around midnight if you don't fetch it yourself.

(3 hours after your check in plus a margin for error.)
