MDX & Reservations ages

I finally received out Disney hotel confirmation from our travel agent. When I attempt to link the reservation, it tells me it can locate me, but not my 14 yo DD. It is showing my DD as an adult 18+ for the hotel reservation. Since we already have a profile for her as a 14 yo child, do I correct it on the My Disney Experience link? Or create a new one with her as an 18+? Will this have any adverse effect on anything? I know that incorrect info in the app can cause havoc. Thanks

An 18+ adult is charged an extra nightly fee. I would call to have it corrected
