I'm old. My phone is old, a nice Note 2. I've almost figured out how to use it. :) After the update a few days ago MDE no longer works with the OS on my phone as it's not at android 5.0. Guess Ill have to resort to using the browser instead. So.... when I'm in the MK and I've used up my 3 FP+ will I be able to book the 4th FP at another park using the browser version? I've never tried that on previous trips. (I think the last time we were there the 4th FP had to be done at a kiosk in the park you wanted to use is in.) TIA!

If you do a Google search for "my disney experience apk" you should be able to find an older version of MDE that will work with your phone. Just download the apk, and install it.

FWIW, my phone is six years old now and is at Android 2.1. Not only can I not get apps for it, some of the apps have stopped working! :teeth:

Yes. You can use the browser version in much the same way as the app. It is very similar, so you shouldn't have any trouble navigating it. In some ways, I find the browser version actually easier to use.

Yes. You'll be fine using the browser instead of the app. In fact, I found the browser easier and less buggy than the app. PS...same thing happened on my phone.

Yeah, if you're under Android 5.0 now you're going to start having App compatibility problems. There are ways however, depending on how comfortable you are with smartphones. If you "root" your phone (i.e. give yourself total administrative control) there are ways to get around these issues. I even read on Google that you can upgrade a Note 2 to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop using some unofficial means. I am not an expert on this, but I have read a few articles as my previous phone (from just a month or so ago) was 4.4 and I was having these same issues. I decided to just buy a new phone (though I got a slightly older, refurbished one on ebay).

I'm planning on doing the same thing. Amazon has pretty good prices on cell phones.

I'll keep my old one just in case we need a replacement phone.

I only use the website via browser. I find it much easier to navigate and the app continues to be glitchy.
