Anyone else still having problems? My 60 days out was yesterday, but I still can't check in online. Will let me look at the screen but won't save credit card info or pin numbers, so won't let me save.
 
Don't worry if you can't do check in right at 60 days. You don't have to do online check in in order to book ADRs or FP+, and you can customize your MBs up until around 30 days out and still have them delivered. In fact, I booked a trip at just under three weeks last month and customized my MB the same day, and still received them in the mail a week before I left. So just keep trying and they'll eventually get their system up and running again.
 
So there isn't any particular advantage to checking in online in advance? It wouldn't matter if we did online check in at 60 days over 30 days?

There isn't any advantage to doing online check in at 60 days. As long as you do your online check in at least a few days before your arrival date you will be fine. :)

What's the advantage to doing online checkin at all? Will the magic bands automatically be able to open your door? Or do you still have to stop in the lobby?

People who do online check in can get a direct to room text message, which will enable them to skip the front desk.
 
I was having problems two days ago too. Are you trying from a phone or computer? Mine would not save my PIN numbers from my iPhone but work perfectly when I checked in using the computer.

Which would be nice if it works, but we've been on many trips since this started and it has yet to work for us without us having to call or go to the front desk. Either we don't get the text or the MB won't open the front gate/room, or both.
 
Another thought, if you are using Chrome, try a different browser. I find a lot of little things that just won't work quite right on the Disney site when using Chrome.

I've also found that sometimes when it doesn't work on Firefox, it works on Chrome. It actually seems to work best on Internet Explorer.

It's strange how many it just won't work for. In our case, with about 15 resort check in's since it started (I loved split stays, what can I say ;) ) we've gotten our room via text all but 1 time. And that 1 time it was because we'd been downgraded from what we booked and the CM was supposed to (notice said, supposed to, they didn't) explain it when we arrived.

I will note that you must have a credit card on file in order for it to work. If you don't do that I'm fairly sure you will have to go to the front desk.
At the start of it we had some issue with our bands and the doors but this year that seems to have been eliminated and we've had several of our shorter stays where I never went in the lobby of the resort at all.

Yes, unfortunately as I hate using it. Well, actually, I guess it's called Edge now, at least on my computer here at work it is. I also haven't had issues using Safari when I'm at home (no IE/Edge there)

We have had this same problem. Last trip we didn't get a text and when we went to the online check in station they couldn't find that I had checked in online. Next trip I will try to get verification that I have checked in online.

Mine still won't save PINS. Bad thing is, all of ours are saved from a previous trip except my niece, who we have added to our Oct trip. It won't save hers no matter WHAT system I use lol. I will give it a few days, and if still no luck, will call.
