We are going with another family in about 6 months. It's just a quick 3 day trip. They are new to WDW and are excited...but they have absolutely no interest in the MDE website, managing fast passes, etc. They would prefer that we do all of that for them through our account. We are two families on separate reservations. Is there any reason I can't manage all of our dining reservations, etc. through mine? We will be doing almost everything together. Or will it work better if they have their own? Thanks!

1. You can put all of them in your "Family and Friends" category and do it all.

2. Sounds like they wouldn't set it up if you don't.

Just a word from someone who reads a lot of posts...

Be very careful about your expectations of "doing everything together."

Many here have found that different people (members of families and families as a whole) have different levels of "interest" and those differences can cause a lot of friction during a WDW trip that has scheduled lots of time sensitive reservations and other events that require getting to and doing things at specific times of day.

Thanks! Is there any way to link the 2nd family's resort reservation in our account? Their magic bands will have to be shipped to our house, correct?

I don't think where their MagicBands are shipped figures into anything.

MagicBands are not required to make FP+ reservations.
They are just used to access any FP+ reservations that have been made.

If it's possible that this family would be taking additional trips to WDW and you will not going on some of those trips, they should have their OWN MDE account.

Basically speaking, if they have already made reservations at a WDW resort hotel, they already do have their "own account."

Disney will send them info regarding customizing their MagicBands and telling them to make FP+ reservations.

But, as the OP said,
...they have absolutely no interest in the MDE website, managing fast passes, etc. They would prefer that we do all of that for them through our account.

It would be a relatively simple matter for the OP, ToyStory3, to ask the other family for their reservation info and "formalize" (quickly activate) an MDE account for the reticent family, THEN "ask them" to join ToyStory3's Family and Friends list.
