MDE/Magic Band question

We're leaving tomorrow for the World! My parents are traveling with us and we have our accounts linked as I have been making all the plans for everyone these past 6+ months. My mom had my dad on her account as a person in her party, but he never had a Disney account himself... until 2 days ago when he downloaded the MDE app and had to make an account. He sent me a request to be added to his Friends/Family list, which I accepted.... to our mutual peril, apparently.

Now he's listed in my Friends & Family twice -- once with his own account and once a member in my mom's party. All of the ADR's, FP's, etc. were made when he did not have his own account. Now that he has his own account, he sees nothing in his MDE app except for one FP that I made yesterday that I apparently selected this new account to assign to instead of his old account.

What kind of trouble is this going to cause him? Is there anything I can do (or he or my mom) to fix this mess up? What is his Magic Band linked to?

I am absolutely, positively, thoroughly confused!

Designate yourself to be the keeper of the fast pass arrangements. If someone from another account wants to change their fast pass choice/time, that is where the issue will happen because if not done properly, all members fast passes will change. Only one MDE account is needed if you are all listed on it and it and it will alleviate any stress so things are not changed by other members accessing their own accounts. Your dads magic band is essentially linked to your moms account, however being he linked himself to hers, he does have access to change things. Did he link his account to your moms as well? If so, It's fine that the fast pass you made shows up on his own page because they are all linked together. If he hasn't, make sure he links to hers as well. Like I said to avoid any problems, let one person be in charge of accessing the account. If

Here is your thread from the other day.

Only his listing in your Mother's MDE account has his tickets, FPs, and MagicBand. Try to move that fake FP over to his real account. You should have just taken screen shots to email to him rather than add him for no reason.

Oh yeah, I'm an idiot and already made a post about this. My bad, sorry. It's been a really crappy, eventful couple of days in regards to our trip. Taken screen shots of.... ??? I didn't add him to anything aside from accepting his request to be Friends & Family. When I made our FP's yesterday (our flight was canceled yesterday, we had to push our entire vacation back and make new ADRs and FPs for part of our trip), I must have selected the wrong John Smith from the list -- both have the exact same name and neither have a profile pic associated with them so I have no way of telling.

Is there anyway for him to be able to use the MDE app then? When he opens up, the only thing he can see is that one errant FP (that I will be switching over to his old name -- I finally made him pic a profile pic so I can tell between the two).

I'm not sure if he linked his account to hers or not... he was texting me like a mad man about all this this morning when I was at the gym so I told him to knock it off until I could finish running, lol. I told him to link to my mom's account if he hasn't though so we'll see if that changes anything if he hadn't linked it yet.

He needs to sign out of his app account and then sign in using your Mother's login info. Then he will see everything.

You could have taken screenshots of the My Plans area and then he would see what you have planned each day. That's too late now... so, have your Mom give him the MDE sign-in info. Tell your Dad not to touch anything and only check it for My Plans.

Ah, great idea. He's not terribly concerned with being able to see the plans... he'll be with the rest of the party all day long. It's just fun to be able to look at everything on your phone. :)

I just talked to him and he said yesterday when he looked at the app, he saw ALL of our plans. Today, nothing. So that's strange. Only difference is that we had to change our reservation dates yesterday though our confirmation numbers are the same. I told him to leave well enough alone until we get down there and we can talk to someone if he's concerned.
