MDE - Checking for Fastpasses

Ok, so I may be a little (or a lot) paranoid about accidentally cancelling my existing FPs or Dining Reservations. Is there a way to check for an alternate time for FPs or dining reservations on a given day without cancelling my existing reservations using the MDE app on my iPhone?

Yes. I think it's described in detail in the FP+ FAQ section, but in a nutshell, you just begin to "modify" your existing FP+ and it will show you the other options available. If you don't select one of them and then confirm it, nothing changes. We do it all the time...it's how we get great FP+ last minute.

For ADRs, you can search for different times/restaurants. If it will conflict with your existing reservation a separate screen will open up alerting you that the previous one will be cancelled. It won't cancel it until you click confirm.

For FPs, similar story. You can search and choose a different experience/time and it will again pull up another screen that it would cause your previous FP to be cancelled; Again, it wouldn't actually be gone until you confirm. One thing to note is the app and website may not show all available times if they conflict with an existing FP. I think there is a way around it, especially on the website, but you may need to take additional steps to see all available times.

Yes, it is all covered in the FP FAQ. Read through that to familiarize yourself with all the ins and outs of FP

The above is how you check for a FP in the same park as your existing FP.

The process for a FP in another park is different. For that you start as you are making brand new FP

And the bottom line (the bolded part above) is the same, as long as you do not confirm, you do not change your existing FP
