MDE Change Email Address?

I would like to change the email address that is attached to my MDE account. However, it looks like this will also change my username. Is there a way to just change the email Disney sends notifications to or will it automatically change my log in? Has anyone else done this? Will it cause problems with my account?

My current email is the free email address that I use for all of our junk emails, store sign-ups, etc. and I don't want to download all of these junk emails on my smartphone while we are at Disney but I need to have access to emails from Disney. Therefore, I would rather use our other email that gets less emails per day. Is there an option to have Disney text you rather than email?

My assumption is that since your email address IS the login/username, it cannot be changed without you becoming a different user entirely. If it is possible it would likely be a job for Disney IT, and one that they may not be able to solve.
