MDE App Update & Recent “Refresh” Changes Discussion (we’re not doomed!)

So, my oldest DS has a Samsung s6 still that he's been using on all the trips since he got it. I know he's wondering whether to upgrade to the newest version, does anyone know if that will matter with these new changes? Our trip isn't until December. My younger DS has the s7 I believe, I think he'll be ok, but we are having an increasingly hard time finding things for the s6 (like a case!). The phone still works fine, but if anyone is having issues I might just replace it before the trip. TIA!!

Ahh, not again. I just quickly turned off auto update for apps. My trip starts this Wednesday and I don’t dare chance it. :scared:

My app updated yesterday. Haven't played around with it much, except for the photopass part of it. Seemed faster to download photos.

Excellent rundown by @Tiggerlover91

For Android just keep hitting the same time over and over. For iPhone switch between 2 times.
How do you switch between 2 times easily on the iPhone? I usually keep hitting my finger in the same spot on a time and let the times scroll to the left then start over again but would be happy to try something new. Do you scroll back to the previous time after every refresh?

And still being throttled. The app itself is ridiculously fast. Faster than 5.0. Then I click a time and wait 10 secs. Exactly 10 secs. Each of 10 times in a row. Not funny Disney.
I was regretting the update but when I just did the latest one it is working much faster for me (a little less than 3 seconds per refresh). Still not nearly as fast as the previous version though. Hope it speeds up for you.

Better yet...I use Android.

Whatever works best for you on iPhone just stick with it. I've wondered, if I were an iPhone user would I switch to Android just for refreshing....as much as I would like to think that I wouldn't let something like that affect my choice of phone, it probably would lol

If I were an Android app user (or an iPhone app user) I'd consider switching to the browser for the best interface. It doesn't recenter anything and lets you click the same time over and over so when I'm modifying an existing FP, I can keep my finger right over the times and not have to scroll to see times. I was surprised the first time I used the Android app that you have to scroll a little bit to see the times that are available. I wonder if that's why I had really good luck during the brief time when FPs went to the fastest fingers. The web browser interface allows the fastest human interaction (the Android app still has the fastest reload time for each refresh though).

:rotfl2:I didn't know you could just tap the time on the Android. That's pretty sweet... but I'm sticking with my iPhone for now lol.
