MDE App Update & Recent “Refresh” Changes Discussion (we’re not doomed!)

No luck getting any headliners to appear in a 5 minute refresh at DHS. Will wait for park to open to see if things start to open up.

But, definitely appears normal to me so far.

Same thing for me this morning with Navi. I waited 30 seconds, selected it and got the confirm page. Backed out, did it again without refreshing and it was still there. I haven’t been able to get FOP or SDD to show up.

Thanks to everyone who is testing and reporting to us! We leave for WDW Saturday and it would be a rough experience without refresh. I'll have enough on my shoulders trying to use the normal system to snag FP's for 12 people!

Yes, for me it is working much like the pre-updated version.

Website working REALLY well for me. I grabbed Thunder for 9pm and was able to immediately modify to 10:50am.

So glad this seems to be back to normal. They had me worried!

Just a related question...those of you that can try from home have AP's, correct? When I go to try to mess with fp+ it wants me to link tickets and I have them listed but they are dated tickets for sept... so I'm assuming that's why I can't do anything?

Yes I have APs and some old 6 day hoppers I bought years ago that aren't date based.

Yes, I do have an AP so can check 30 days out.

Correct, I am an AP holder who is 64 days out from next trip. Once I book for those 7 days, I’ll be shut out from checking.

Great, thanks! Just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing anything wrong. Bummer I cant practice but I have used the app before on previous trips, just didnt know about refreshing. Hard to visualize what to do when I cant see it!

Glad to hear it looks like yesterday was just a glitch or they realized whatever they did was not working and fixed it! (Actually, it's hard to believe they fixed it so quickly so maybe it was just a glitch)

Just got back from our week-long trip (3/24-3/30) and was in HS Friday morning and hopped to Epcot mid-afternoon. My MDE didn’t update, but I also had similar problems with the refresh method using my iPhone. Took me nearly an hour and a half to snag a few single FP’s for our group for Soarin’ and they were for late in the day (7:45, 8:10, 8:15). I tried for another half hour or so to bump them back, but the system kept glitching. I kept having to restart the app. Not the normal experience at all, and I had been using the method all week with way better results. Thought it was just off for being the end of the week, but then read about the update here and think there may be something to it.

We did the same on Friday the 29th (DHS in morning, then hopped to Epcot). I was able to get a Soarin FP around 1pm for 8pm that evening. I snagged the first time that came up, since they were scarce. I then refreshed for about 10 mins and got a 3:10pm fastpass with no problems.

It’s a little faster for me now. Fingers crossed it gets better tomorrow. I’ll be watching this thread for your updates. I have to actually do some work tomorrow LOL.

My guess is it was faster because most parks were closed and few people were using the system. It may slow down again today during the day.

DHS now open: TSM, RnRC (both for around noon) appeared after a minute or 2 of refreshing. Times held, even after waiting 30 seconds or so to select.

I’m declaring it fixed for today.
