MDE App Update & Recent “Refresh” Changes Discussion (we’re not doomed!)

It's happening to me on an older version of the app.

I'm not fast enough to catch any of the tier 1's

Well that really sucks. I spent a good hour last week walking them through the refresh method. I’m worried now my “ office place Disney specialist” tag is gonna be removed, lol

Buddy just texted that CMs are telling people to use the kiosks right now vs the app. He says that’s working for them.

..... Because it's a method I've used and been very grateful for, especially during trips at busy times? It's been a big part of my touring plans. I'm bummed to see it's not working anymore. Not sure why my comment bothered YOU so much....

It’s jacked up. I just had a FP just for me tonight at POTC at 8:45 and 9:15
(I have since canceled them both since I’m not there.)

He’s adding new ones one at a time so I don’t know if that is making a difference vs modify or not.

Leave it to WDW to make you plan 180 days or 30 at best and then decide day of to jack it all up....

I stream FPS on twitch, I am not trying to brag but I have some crazy fast reflexes on computers (and phones) and I haven’t been able to snag anything in the past few hours. If this change is here to stay I think it will have killed “refresh method”. Maybe with enough complaining Disney will adress this issues, but I doubt it if this was their intention.

No problem, I can see how my post was kind of ambiguous. I edited it to make it clear that I love refresh and I'm sad at the possibility that it's on its way out!

I'm currently trying to convince myself you are correct... I mean, MDE is pretty messed up right now, even for MDE standards. So maybe this is just a glitch? Or they meant to make more minor tweaks and went too far? Please dear MDE, hear our prayers!

My biggest concern is that I am having a LOT fewer problems getting low-tier FPs. And almost zero luck with anything I would actually be excited about snagging (a PP here and there notwithstanding).

I cant check anything right now, because I have all our fp days are maxed out. It's killing me with all these changes going on. We have unbooked days where we counted on being able to snag some sdfp's, because of AP limitations.

It does make you wonder if those FPs were ever really available, or if the glitch is they showed you times that were never really there and then had to decline your acceptance.

This is my impression as well after reading though all of the posts. I'm no longer AP, so I can't check for FPs myself right now, but I think we're seeing a glitchy update here. Those top tiers everyone is seeing and being denied are probably not there in the first place.
