MDAS during Fall 2018 Magic sailings?

Hi all,

Any thoughts on whether DCL might modify current Fall 2018 cruise sailings on the Magic to become Marvel Day at Sea sailings?


I know this probably falls in the bucket of "Disney can do whatever they like", but I wanted to see what folks out there thought of the chances that they might "add" MDAS to currently scheduled sailings.

I'm not sure. The Marvel cruises have been on "select 5 night cruises" in the spring to date. Pretty much the same time the Star Wars cruises are: Jan/Feb/Mar.

I know that's what's scheduled coming up, but last year (2017), they did a bunch of 7- and 8-night MDAS sailings out of New York on the Magic between October 6, 2017 to November 18, 2017.

Do you know if those were initially Marvel cruises? Or changed to Marvel after people were already booked on them?

MDAS was announced after booking opened, but they were the very first MDAS sailings, so I don’t know that you can try to predict what may happen based on how it was announced for last fall.

I doubt they would add it this late. If the cruises need a boost in selling available cabins that they would need to add MDAS, I would think that they would have done it already - it's fast approaching final payment time and probably introducing *GT rates if they need to fill some cabins. (I'm also hoping that they don't. I avoided the fall sailings from NY last year because they were MDAS - announced shortly after the cruises were announced and really don't want one of my Sea Days taken over by Marvel activities; well possibly two since we are doing B2B.)
