MCR- The Black Parade

Okay, it's like American Idiot came out all over again. Everyone I hear talking about it says "Oh, I like all of their old stuff, but I don't like this new album." Why is this? I have no idea. Personally, I love the album. "Disenchanted" really relates me when something was going on in my life, and "Welcome to the Black Parade" along with "House of Wolves" charge me up. Admittedly, the hidden track is pretty creepy, but I love the album all the same. I often listen to music that inspires me when I'm writing, and there are a lot of songs from "The Black Parade" that fall into that category with me.

What about you guys?

I don't have the CD.
I might buy it.
Usually when I buy a cd, I don't love it, but I appreciate it. I appreciate the sounds and stuff, which eventually makes me like it.
When I've got my Hoobastank cd completely listened to, I'll move onto this.
I love Welcome to the Black Parade. I just adore the beginning.

I like it too, but only the beginning. I really don't get the song that well. Doesn't make any sense to me, I like a song that I don't know what it's about.

My arch enemy (long story that might be a thread some day) is obsessed with this song. She has it on her Ipod and tries to shove the earpieces int my ears all the time, including during French quizzes. The song was tainted forever for me.

I mean this album is soooo different, but in a GOOD way.
Lots of people are just trying to be cool and saying 'Oh yeah their old stuff is better.'

MCR explained at the VMA's that it was like a story album. As I have no listened to it, I wouldn't know. But I kind of like the concept.

It doesn't sound like their old stuff because it's heart felt and about a very tragic happening in their lives.
Their other stuff is better, but this was like an emotional outlet for them, and it IS good.​

I also noticed that this is very similar to American Idiot in the sense that it's a story album, a rock opera. I also love watching Gerard Way perform. He always looks like there's something going on in his head when he sings every song. I also love the characterization aspect of his performance. He dyed his hair and cut it to make himself look more gaunt like "Patient" would. I just love that.

But I have noticed that the light hair seems to make him look healthier than he did before. Not that I mind it at all Maybe it's just me.

i have listened to the new mcr cd and i personally think it sux i liked there old stuff i dont like this tho
