Anyone have experience traveling through MCO with a mobility device? The last time I brought my ECV to Florida I went through the Tampa airport so I have no idea how I will handle the masses of humanity in line at security in MCO. Will there be a separate line for me and my family? Can my scooter get onto the shuttle from the terminal to the gates without a problem? I've been through MCO before but never with my scooter and I'm feeling a little nervous about it.

It has been a while since I've been to MCO, but I don't remember having any trouble. I know the monorail was easy. Security was okay, too.

Of course, I'm used to flying out of Houston, so a very busy airport indeed! I always travel with my scooter, so having it with me is a way of life.

Yes we were directed to the handicap check in, I found Mco very easy to navigate and the staff were great.

I always travel with my scooter. You will have no problems at all. Just look for the handicapped entrance at TSA and get in that line. There is a train that takes you to and from the gates. You just drive on and get off where you need to.

By the way, I am coming and going via the Tampa airport next time. Any advice about the airport there?

Honestly, it was 2 years ago so my memories are sketchy. I do remember it being very easy - I think for the most part it helped because we arrived and departed late Saturday evening so there wasn't a lot of traffic. The fact that I left our passports in the rental car after we dropped it off sticks in my mind much more than navigating in the airport. I'm sorry I can't be more help.
