MCO to Vero how long?

I just got off the phone with MS and knew what I had been told was wrong. I asked MS how much time should I allow to drive from Orlando Int. Airport to Vero Beach? His answer was have you ever been to Vero before and I said no. He then said that on a Saturday in June wouldn't be bad so allow 45 min to an hour??? I may drive fast, but I know I don't drive that fast... so I'm coming to you all for the correct info. I was thinking 2 1/2 to 3 hours, does that sound right?

It took us about a hour and a half to drive from marker 6 on the 192 so add at least another 40+ mins from MCO. My guess would be 2 and a half hours, perhaps the CM thought you were staying in the aircraft for the journey from MCO to Vero

I did a mapquest route and it said about 3.0 hours. So I figure with a little more speed (not much ) it would be about 2 -2.5 hours. Have fun

Does everyone think that flying into MCO is the cheapest? How much is the rental car?

Thanks, I looked on Mapquest as well but wasn't to sure how accurate the time was, since that doesn't account for traffic. I was able to get a SUV from Alamo from 6/17 to 7/1 for $335.00. Which I didn't think was bad.

We have done it a few times, figure about 2 hours from MCO and a little longer from WDW. If you are flying PBI is a little close about 1 hour 45 minutes, but airfare is sometimes higher.

Wow! was it really that long?? It seemed so short with no kids and a convertable!!
