which is better in the morning. Taking I75 or RT17?

Wanted to avoid construction on I4 but thinking I75 may still be quicker even though it is more miles

I would download Waze, and take whstever route it recommends that day at that time.

US 17 is about 40 miles shorter and <10 minutes faster, according to Google Maps, but for that small difference I would double-check using the times you will actually be driving.

The US 17 route is rural; I 75 takes you just East of downtown Tampa, but then mostly rural because it runs East of the coastal cities. I think you're less likely to have major drama on US 17, but frankly I have never used that route.

I make the MCO - Ft Myers run several times a week. We use I 4 to 75 mostly we use 4 TO 27 to 64 to 17 as a back-up if 75 is at a stand still. 17 has construction on it as they are making it 4 lanes from 2. Most times the time savings are only a few minutes.
