Hi there!

How long does it take to get to BLT or Grand Floridian from MCO via DME?

Current hotel reservation is at BLT but we're planning to switch to GFV when we reach our 4-month booking window.

Our flight arrives at 5:40PM and we have 9:10PM ADR at 'Ohana on arrival. We are looking to switch this to an earlier time either at same place or Chef Mickey. We are able to split so that one grpup checks in and goes to the ADR after checkin while another group can go directly to our ADR.

How early can our ADR be? We have kids so trying to feed them as early as possible.

Should take just over an hour (assuming you let them take care of your checked luggage). However, budget 90 minutes at least. Assuming on time arrival of 5:40, you're at the resort ~7:10. Check in by 7:30 and you should be able to get to poly around 8.

I wouldn't set the ADR for any earlier than 8:30. That allows a little slop if the plane is late or other delays. 9:10 gives you even more time.

BLT and CR are the last stop of that bus. GF is 2nd or 3rd. time depends on traffic at each hotel and how long it takes to move in and out. our home is BLT, and it's very frustrating.

I wouldn't move it.

If you're really concerned about eating as soon as possible (and I don't blame you) then I would ditch the ADR altogether. Just eat at the airport or get counter service when you get to the resort.

DME seems to take an average of 70 minutes from when you arrive ay=t DME counter until you get to the front desk at your resort. The range tends to be 50 to 90 minutes. The actual time depends on how long it takes before a DME motorcoach serving your resort leaves from MCO and how many stops at other resorts you make.

Don't rely on on the experience of others who say the a particular resort is the first, second, or third stop. The coaches are dispatched on the basis of actual demand, not set routes.
