We have ended our WDW trips and flown home several times on Christmas Day but this will be our first year for a Christmas Eve flight. Curious if it will be crazy holiday busy or just normal MCO busy? Our flight is at 11 a.m. but might find flight info for an earlier flight to have ME us up a little earlier if needed ...

My son and I flew home from MCO on Christmas Eve (an evening flight) a few years ago and the airport was DEAD!! It really reminded me of a scary movie. There were zero security lines.

...meaning that ME will pick you up sometime around 8 AM.

Pretty sure you can arrange ME to pick you up earlier with no problem (e.g. four hours earlier). You just can't arrange ME to pick you up later.
