I'm looking for options to get my family of four from MCO to the Yacht Club and then from the Yacht Club to Universal a few days later. We'd need to get back to MCO at the end of our trip. I was pricing out rentals, and while more, it may make more sense than hiring a private car. If we do hire a private car, any recommendations? Would renting a car make the most sense and be easier?

My daughter just did almost exactly this, although she stayed at the Boardwalk.

She used Lyft. By far the most convenient.

She used Lyft for everything? I was thinking of using Uber or Lyft from Disney to Universal. I didn't even think about using it from the airport to/from Disney/Universal.

There are parking fees when staying on-site at U

Depending on trip length, convenience (along with potential savings of being able to eat some meals offsite/grab some groceries & water etc), you may find it worth it to price out a mid sized car

We frequently use Uber/Lyft to and from the airport. Hubby and I have both of the apps so we check both at the same time and see who is cheaper and/or who will arrive sooner. Usually Lyft wins. With 4 people, I’d choose the XL sized vehicle. We rarely wait more than 10 minutes to get to and from MCO.

Prices will vary but we average $30-$45 each way for an XL on Friday/Sunday nights. Again, pricing will vary depending on days of the week, times, etc.

We booked a private car service for the exact same thing for an upcoming trip - search the boards for Tony Hinds. Tony Hinds himself may be retired, but you can still use the same contact info. Riland responded and has been really prompt with communication. Fair prices too!
